HomeMy WebLinkAbout4558 - ADMIN Resolution - City Council - 1972/06/26Original RESOLUTION NO. 4558 RESOLUTION AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 4547 ENTITLED "RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PLACEMENT OF STOP SIGNS FOR TRAFFIC CONTROL AT INTER- SECTIONS OF 302 STREET, 31ST STREET AND 32ND STREET AT UTAH AVENUE, SIGNS LIMITING PARKING AND ESTABLISHING LOAD LIMITS ON UTAH AVENUE" BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of St. Louis Park that Resolution No. 4547 entitled "Resolution Authorizing Placement of Stop Signs for Traffic Control at Intersections of 302 Street, 31st Street and 32nd Street at Utah Avenue, Signs Limiting Parking and Establishing Load Limits on Utah Avenue" be amended to read as follows: WHEREAS, the City of St. Louis Park has caused a traffic analysis to be made of traffic volumes and accident rates at said intersections, and WHEREAS, said analysis indicates that the following control on traffic at said intersections is warranted upon the basis of its physical characteristics and upon driver behavior and traffic conditions, and WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 702, adopted June 8, 1959, by the City Council provides for installation of traffic control signs, signals and devices when and as required by resolution of the City Council, therefore BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of St. Louis Park that the City Engineer is hereby authorized and directed to install signs at the following intersections: Stop signs on 302 Street and 32nd Street at Utah Avenue; Stop sign on Utah Avenue at 31st Street Signs prohibiting parking on the east side of Utah Avenue from a point 250 feet south of Minnetonka Boulevard to the intersection of 302 Street between the hours of 7:00 and 8:30 a.m.; and Signs establishing load limits of four tons per single axle on Utah Avenue from Minnetonka Boulevard to West 32nd Street Atte Adopted by the City ouncil J 1972. 4111111r2111116- r‘ t: D/ I ity Clerk Reviewed for administration: City Manager Mayor App/ v ed as to for and legality: City ttorney
