RESOLUTION REPEALING RESOLUTION NO. 4233 ENTITLED
"RESOLUTION APPROVING PLANS, SPECIFICATIONS AND
SPECIAL PROVISIONS HENNEPIN COUNTY PROJECT 6840,
COUNTY STATE AID HIGHWAY NO. 18" AND REQUESTING
RECONSIDERATION OF PLANS, SPECIFICATIONS, AND
SPECIAL PROVISIONS HENNEPIN COUNTY PROJECT 6840,
COUNTY STATE AID HIGHWAY NO. 18
WHEREAS, plans for Hennepin County Project No. 6840 showing proposed
median barrier, together with Specifications and Special Provisions for
the Improvement of County State Aid Highway No. 18 within the limits of
the City as a Federal Aid Project have been prepared and presented to
the City, and
WHEREAS, Resolution 4233 adopted by the City Council approved the
above plans, specifications, and special provisions, and
WHEREAS, the City Council communicated its concern regarding the
construction of the median barrier which would eliminate emergency
vehicle access from CSAH 18 at West 16th Street, and
WHEREAS, it has become apparent to the City Council that no provisions
have been made for construction of an emergency vehicle access through
the median barrier,
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of St. Louis Park that
Resolution No. 4233 entitled "Resolution Approving Plans, Specifications
and Special Provisions Hennepin County Project 6840, County State Aid
Highway No. 18" is hereby repealed, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said plans, specifications and special
provisions be reconsidered and modified to provide emergency vehicle
access through the median barrier at West 16th Street.
