RESOLUTION NO .41 4 M
RESOLUTION GRANTING PERMIT UNDER SECTION
6:122.11 OF THE ST. LOUIS PARK ZONING
ORDINANCE FOR REDEVELOPING A DRIVE IN
RESTAURANT
WHEREAS, application has been made to the City Council by McDonald's
Corporation for permit under Section 6:122.11 of the St. Louis Park Zoning
Ordinance for the following purpose:
To redevelop a drive in restaurant
at the following location:
6320 West Lake Street, to wit:
That part of Lots 8 and 9, Block 5, St. Louis Park, north
addition and that part of Lots 25,26,27,23,29,30,31, and 32,
Block 189 Rearrangement of St. Louis Park together with all
that part of adjoining vacated streets, avenues and alleys
described as follows: Beginning at a point in the southeasterly
line of said Lot 28, distance 42.33 feet northeasterly of the most
southerly corner of said Lot 28, thence northeasterly to a point in
the north line of said Lot 25, distance 4.3 feet east of the north
corner of said Lot 25; thence west along the north line of said
Lot 25 and same extended 10.3 feet to the center line of vacated
alley; thence south along center line of said vacated alley 47.65
feet more or less to its intersection with the north line of
Lot 3, Block 5, St. Louis Park north addition extended east;
thence, west along said extended line to the northeast corner
of said,Lot 9; thence southwest along a straight line to the
southwest corner of said Lot 32, Block 189; thence continuing
southeast along the extension of last described line to the
intersection with the west line of Lots 8 and 9, Block 5,
St. Louis Park north addition extended south; thence south
along said west line of said Lcc 8 and 9 extended 87.0 feet;
thence on an angle to the left of 40 degrees, 9 minutes, 69.1
feet to its intersection with the southeasterly line of
Block 189 Rearrangement of St. Louis Park extended southwesterly;
thence northeasterly along said southeaterly line of said
Block 189, and its extension to the point of beginning.
WHEREAS, the Council has considered the advice and recommendation of
the Planning Commission (Case No. 71 -44 -SP.) and the effect of the proposed
use on the health, safety and welfare of the occupants of the surrounding
lands, existing and anticipated traffic conditions, including parking
facilities on adjacent streets, and the effect on values of properties
in the surrounding area, and the effect of the proposed use on the
Comprehensive Plan, therefore

BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of St. Louis Park that
it is hereby determined that the said proposed use will not be detrimental
to the health, safety or general welfare of the community nor will it cause
serious traffic congestion, nor hazards, nor will it seriously depreciate
surrounding property values, and the same is in harmony with the general
purpose and intent of this ordinance and the Comprehensive Plan, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that permit be hereby granted to the applicant
for the purpose above set forth, subject, however, to the following conditions:
1. The site and buildings shall be reconstructed; used and
maintained in accordance with Exhibit "A", site plan -
landscape plan; Exhibit "B" left and right side elevation
plan; Exhibit "C", front and rear elevation plan;
Exhibit "D", roof lighting plan; Exhibit "E", floor plan;
Exhibit "F", rendering; Exhibit "G'', sign plan, and
Exhibit "H", special light beam specifications; except
as modified below.
2. A screen shall be placed along the roof at the north side
to screen roof top equipment.
3. Light beams on the roof as shown on Exhibit "D" shall have
no more than .5 foot candles of light 28 inches from the
source.
4. Concrete curbing shall be placed along the outside edges of
all paved areas.
5. A raised concrete walk shall be extended from the east and
west side of the building into the parking lot as shown
on Exhibit "A" amended.
6. The hedge along the north property line shall be continuous
and shall be planted and maintained so that no gaps occur
and a height of 4.5 feet is reached by October, 1973, except
within 20 feet of Dakota Avenue where the hedge shall be
2.5 to 3.5 feet high.
7. All buildings and structures, paving, landscaping, signing,
parking lot striping, and lighting shall be completed by
July 1, 1972.
