RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PLACEMENT OF "NC PARKING
OR STOPPING" SIGNS FOR TRAFFIC CONTROL AT INTERSECTIONS
OF DAKOTA AVENUE - WEST SIDE FROM 33RD STREET TO M N
& S TRACKS AND WEST 33RD STREET, SOUTH SIDE FROM DAKOTA
AVENUE TO GEORGIA AVENUE AND REPEALING PORTION OF RESOLUTION
NO. 3612 ENTITLED "RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PLACEMENT OF TRAFFIC
CONTROL SIGNS REGULATING PARKING"
WHEREAS, the City of St. Louis Park has caused a traffic analysis
to be made of volume of traffic and accident rate on a portion of Dakota
Avenue from West 33rd Street to M N & S tracks and a portion of West
33rd Street from Dakota Avenue to Georgia Avenue, and
WHEREAS, said analysis indicates that the following control on
traffic at said intersection is warranted upon the basis of its physical
characteristics and upon driver behavior and traffic conditions, and
WHEREAS, Ordinance 702, adopted June 8, 1959, by the City Council
provides for installation of traffic control signs, signals and devices
when and as required by resolution of the City Council, and
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 3612 adopted October 7, 1968 by the City
Council authorized and directed the placement of No Parking signs
at the above portions of streets which portion of resolution should be
repealed since the signs are no longer necessary, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of St. Louis Park
that the City Engineer is hereby authorized and directed to install
"No Parking or Stopping 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. School Days" signs on
West side of Dakota Avenue from 33rd Street to M N & S tracks and on
south side of West 33rd Street from Dakota Avenue to Georgia Avenue, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that portion of Resolution No. 3612, adopted
October 7, 1968 is hereby repealed and the City Engineer is hereby
authorized and directed to remove_ the ''No Parking" described in said
Resolution No. 3612.
