HomeMy WebLinkAbout4356 - ADMIN Resolution - City Council - 1971/09/27Original RESOLUTION NO. 4356 RESOLUTION ADOPTING ASSESSMENT IMPROVEMENT NOS. 60-96, 69-38, 69-39, 70-14, 70-16, 70-18, 70-23 AND 70-47 • SEPTEMBER 27, 1971 5A2 WHEREAS, notice of hearing was duly mailed on September 10, 1971, and published in the official city newspaper, The St. Louis Park Sun, on September 2, 1971, as required by Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 429, and as ordered by Council Resolution No. 4322, and WHEREAS, a public hearing having been held on this date and opportunity having been given at the hearing to all persons to make known their objections to the proposed assessment, and the Council being fully advised of the pertinent facts, therefore BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of St. Louis Park: 1. The proposed assessment is adopted and shall constitute the special assessment levied against the respective lands therein described, and each tract of land is found to be specially benefited by the improve- ments in the amount of assessment levied against it. 2. The assessment shall be payable, unless prepaid, in equal annual installments extending over the period of years designated in paragraph 3. The first installment shall be payable concurrently with general taxes levied in the year 1971, and payable in the year 1972, and shall bear interest at the rate of seven per cent per annum from the date of the adoption of this assessment resolution. To the first installment shall be added interest on the entire assessment from the date of this assessment until December 31st of the year in which the first installment becomes due and payable. To subsequent installments when due shall be added interest for one year on the total of all unpaid installments. No interest will be charged if the entire assessment as to any parcel is paid at the office of the treasurer within 30 days from the date of adoption of the assessment resolution. 3. The number of years over which installments are to be extended, are as follows: Imp. No. Type of Improvement Location 69-38 Concrete Alley Paving Between Colorado Avenue and Dakota from and Repair 28th Street to 29th Street 69-39 Concrete Alley Paving Between Florida and Georgia Avenue from and Repair 29th Street to Minnetonka Boulevard 70-14 Concrete Alley Paving Between Georgia_and Hampshire Avenue from and Repair 27th to 28th Street 70-16 Concrete Alley Paving Between Georgia and Hampshire from 28th and Repair Street to 29th Street 70-18 Concrete Alley Paving Between Hampshire and Idaho from 29th and Repair Street to Minnetonka Boulevard 70-23 Concrete Alley Paving Between Vernon Avenue and Webster Avenue and Repair from 26th Street to 27th Street 70-47 Concrete Alley Paving Between Jersey Avenue and Kentucky Avenue and Repair from West 27th Street to West 28th Street which shall be extended over a period of ten (10) years. 4. The Clerk shall transmit a certified copy of this assessment to the County Auditor to be extended on the proper tax lists of the County, and such assessments shall be collected and paid over in the same manner as other municipal taxes.
