RESOLUTION NO. 4355
RESOLUTION ADOPTING ASSESSMENT
IMPROVEMENT NOS. 70-24 AND 70-24A
REPLACEMENT
WHEREAS, notice of hearing was duly mailed on September 3, 1971 and
published in the official city newspaper, The St. Louis Park Sun, on
September 2, 1971, as required by Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 429, and
as ordered by Council Resolution No. 4319, and
WHEREAS, a public hearing having been held on September 20, 1971
and continued to this date and opportunity having been given at the
hearing to all persons to make known their objections to the proposed
assessment, and the Council being fully advised of the pertinent facts,
therefore
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of St. Louis Park:
1. The proposed assessment is adopted and shall constitute the special
assessment levied against the respective lands therein described, and
each tract of land is found to be specially benefited by the improvements
in the amount of assessment levied against it.
2. The assessment shall be payable, unless prepaid, in equal
annual installments extending over the period of years designated in
paragraph 3. The first installment shall be payable concurrently with
general taxes levied in the year 1971 and payable in the year 1972, and
shall bear interest at the rate of seven per cent per annum from the
date of the adoption of this assessment resolution. To the first install-
ment shall be added interest on the entire assessment from the date of
this assessment until December 31st of the year in which the first
installment becomes due and payable. To subsequent installments when
due shall be added interest for one year on the total of all unpaid
installments. No interest will be charged if the entire assessment as
to any parcel is paid at the office of the treasurer within 30 days from
the date of adoption of the assessment resolution.
3. The number of years over which installments are to be extended,
are as follows:

which shall be extended over a period of twenty (20) years.
4. The Clerk shall transmit a certified copy of this assessment to
the County Auditor to be extended on the proper tax lists of the County,
and such assessments shall be collected and paid over in the same manner
as other municipal taxes.
