HomeMy WebLinkAbout542 - ADMIN Resolution - City Council - 1958/02/17Resolution No. 541 Adopted February 17, 1958 ORDERING CURB AND GUT'TEH CONSTRUCTION WHEREAS, the City Council has met at the time and place specified in the notice published in the St. Louis Park Dispatch January 30 and Feb- ruary 6, 1958, relating to the public improvements hereinafter described and has heard all interested persons appearing at said meeting and has secured from the City Engineer a report advising it in a preliminary way that each proposed improvement is feasible, and as to whether it should best be made as proposed or in connection with other improvements, and the estimated cost of the improvements, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of St. Louis Park that the following public improvements be hereby ordered in accordance with plans and specifications which have been prepared by the City Engineer and filed with the City Clerk, and which are hereby approved: CURB AND GUTTER Improvement No. 58-1 Both sides of West 28th Street from Aquila Ave. to Boone Ave. Both sides of Boone Ave._from West 28th St. to South property line of Lot 13, Block 1, and Lot 7, Block 2, West Lynn 3rd Addition. Lefler Mayor _ Attest: Joseph Justad City Clerk Resolution.No. 542 Adopted February 17, 1958 AMENDING THE GENERAL ADMINISTRATIVE CODE WHEREAS, the City Council has heretofore approved Chapter 1 of the St. Louis Park Administrative Code as prepared by the City Attorney and approved by the_City Manager, and WHEREAS, subsection (III) of Section 1:107 of said Chapter pro- vided for a Department of Civil Defense as a subdivision of the Division of Public Safety, and it appears desirable that Civil Defense be made a separ- ate division of the City administration in order to more properly comply with administrative provisions of the Statutes of the State of Minnesota relating to Civil Defense, therefore BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council that said subdivision (III) of Section 1:107 of the Ordinance Code be deleted therefrom and that upon pub- lication of said code there be included an additional section to be numbered Section 1:111, which shall read as follows: 1 Resolution No. 512 - continued Section 1:111. Division of Civil Defense supervised by the Director of Civil Defense who shall be appointed by the Mayor and who shall be responsible for plans for Civil Defense and for direction of the Civil Defense organization of the City under the direction and con- trol of the City Council. The Director of Civil Defense shall perform the duties imposed on the Director of Civil Defense by ordinances of the City and laws of the State of Minnesota and of the United States, and shall comply with administrative ordinances of the City relating to personnel of the City assigned to the Civil Defense organization, purchase of supplies, and use of equipment and property for purposes of the Civil Defense organization. Lefler Mayor Attest: Joseph Justad City Clerk Resolution No. 543 Adopted February 24, 1958 r RESOLUTION DESIGNATING DEPOSITORIES FOR CITY FUNDS RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of St. Louis Park that the Citizens State Bank of St. Louis Park, Minnesota, be hereby designated as a depository for the funds of this City, not to exceed, however, the amount of $1,200,000.00 at any one time; that the Northwestern National Bank of Minneapolis, Minnesota, be hereby designated as a depository for the funds of this City, not to exceed, however, the amount of $200,000.00 at any one time; that the Park Plaza State Bank of St. Louis Park, Minnesota, be hereby desig- nated as a depository for the funds of_this City, not to exceed, however, the amount of $300,000.00 at any one time, and the Treasurer is hereby authorized to open or continue an account or accounts with said banks on such terms as required by said banks in the name of the City, and to deposit, or cause to be deposited in such account or accounts, any monies, checks, drafts, orders, notes oriother instruments for the payment of money. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that until further notice of the City Council by resolutions, withdrawals from the account or accounts shall be up- on written order of the Treasurer, countersigned by the City Manager and the City Clerk. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this notice shall continue in force until written notice of its recision or modification has been received by said banks. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Citizen's State Bank and the Park Plaza State -Bank deposit -with the Marquette National Bank oftMinneapolis, Minn., and that the-Northwestern'National -Bank ,deposit with the Federal= Reserve Bank of Minneapolis, Minnesota, as security for such deposits;_such-sec'uritiesas may be approved by the City Council in amount required by law.
