Resolution No. 535 Adopted February 10, 1958
AUTHORIZING CERTIFICATE OF CONVENIENCE
AND NECESSITY FOR TAXICAB OPERATION
WHEREAS, an application for a Certificate of Public Convenience
and Necessity to operate taxicabs upon the streets of the City was filed with
the City Clerk by St. Louis Park Radio Cab Inc. on the 20th day of January
1958; and
- WHEREAS, a public hearing was held by the City Council on this
application on the 10th day of February, 1958, after due notice published in
the St. Louis Park Dispatch on January 23, 1958, and
WHEREAS, the Council has given due consideration to the number of
taxicabs now operating within the City, the adequacy of such transportation
to serve the public need, and the probable effect of increasing the number
of taxicabs on local traffic conditions, and
WHEREAS, the said applicant has filed with the City Clerk a certif-
icate of insurance which complies with Section 5 of Ordinance No. 160 (Ordin-
ance Code Sec. 2:2304), and has paid to the City Treasurer the license fee
required by Section 7 of said Ordinance (Code Sec. 2:2307),
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
St. Louis Park as follows: _
1. The Council hereby finds and determines that further taxicab
service in the City of St. Louis Park is required by the public convenience
and necessity, and the above-named applicant is fit, willing and able to
furnish this additional service, and to conform to the provisions of this
ordinance.
2. Effective February 10, 1958, a Certificate of Public Conven-
ience and Necessity for the operation of eight taxicabs upon the streets of
the City is hereby granted to St. Louis Park Radio Cab, Inc., whose address
is 3424 Louisiana Ave., St. Louis Park, and the City Manager is directed to
issue such Certificate.

ABANDONING CERTAIN LATERAL SEWER IMPROVEMENTS
ORDERED BY RESOLUTION NO. 521
WHEREAS, the City Council, by Resolution No. 524, ordered construct-
ion of lateral sewers at various locations and Orr-Schelen, Inc., the consult-
ing engineers employed by the City in connection with said project, has advised
the City Council that the sewers ordered by said resolution at the following
locations should be deleted therefrom and abandoned because of inadvertent
errors in description or necessary changes in route thereof:
