HomeMy WebLinkAbout528 - ADMIN Resolution - City Council - 1958/01/13359 Resolution No. 527 Adopted January 13,-1958 AUTHORIZING APPEARANCE BEFORE RAILROAD -AND WAREHOUSE COMMISSION WHEREAS, pursuant to authorization by motion of the City Council at its meeting October 28, 1957, the City Attorney has entered appearance before the Railroad and Warehouse Commission as a protestant In the Matter of the Investigation by -the Commission on its Own Motion of the Application of Northwestern Bell•Telephone Company for an Order Establishing Fair and Reasonable Rates and Charges for Telephone Service Furnished by it within the State of Minnesota, and - WHEREAS, it appears desirable to the City Council that the author- ity of the City Attorney to appear in said proceeding be supplemented by this resolution, therefore BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of St. Louis Park that Edmund T. Montgomery, City Attorney of the City of St. Louis Park, be hereby authorized and directed to appear in said proceedings -on behalf of the City of St. Louis Park, and all users of telephones within the corporate lim- its of said City, as protestant or intervener as he deems proper and to take such part in such proceedings on behalf of the City as he shall deem necessary and proper. Lefler Mayor Attest: Joseph Justad City Clerk Resolution No. 528 Adopted January 13, 1958 ORDERING STORM SEWER, CURB AND GUTTER, AND SIDEWALK CONSTRUCTION IN TWEEDY'S ADDITION WHEREAS, the City Council' has met at the time and place specified in the notice published in the St. Louis Park Dispatch January 2nd and 9th, 1958, relating to the public improvements hereinafter described and has heard all interested persons appearing at said meeting and has secured from the City Engineer a report advising it in a preliminary way that each pro- posed improvement is feasible, and.as to whether it should best be made as proposed or in connection with other improvements, and the estimated cost of the improvements, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of St. Louis Park that the following public improvements be hereby ordered in accordance with plans and specifications which are to be prepared by the City Engineer. Lefler Mayor Attest: Joseph Justad City Clerk Resolution No. 529 Adopted January 13, 1958 DESIGNATING LEGAL NEWSPAPER FOR THE CALENDAR- -- YEAR 1958 BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of St. Louis Park that the St. Louis Park Dispatch, a legal newspaper of general circulation in the City, be hereby designated as the official newspaper of the City in which shall be published such measures and matters as are by the laws of this state and the City Charter required to be published and such other matters as the Council may deem advisable and in the public interest to have published.
