RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE COMMISSIONER OF HIGHWAYS
TO ALLOCATE $24,015 TO THE CITY OF ST. LOUIS PARK AS'
ITS STATE AID MAINTENANCE ALLOTMENT FOR_TBE CALENDAR
YEAR 1958
WHEREAS, Section 68, Subdivision 3, Chapter 943, Laws of 1957 pro-
vides that the proportion of each city's annual apportionment for municipal
state aid, to be used for maintenance of the city's state aid street system,
shall be a joint determination of the Commissioner of Highways and the gov-
erning body of each city, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of St. Louis Park has deter-
mined that its best estimate of the anticipated maintenance costs on the
municipal state aid street system during the calendar year 1958 is an average
of $$1500 per mile for the 16.01 miles of the designated state aid system, or
$$24,015, and that such estimate is based upon the attached report of, the City
Engineer, therefore (See below)
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of -the City of St. Louis Park
to request the Commissioner of Highways to allocate $24,015 of the 1958
municipal state aid apportionment for St. Louis Park, for use in maintaining
streets on the approved municipal state aid street system.

This report, as approved by resolution of the City Council, a copy
of which resolution is attached hereto, is submitted for your consideration
in determining the proportion of our total allotment to be set aside for the
maintenance of all Municipal - State Aid Streets during the coming year.

Resolution No. 526 Adopted January 6, 1958
RESOLUTION GRANTING PERMIT
UNDER SECTION 10.3 & 10.5 OF THE ZONING ORDINANCE
OF THE CITY OF ST. LOUIS PARK
WHEREAS, application has been made to the City Council by Adolph Fine
for permit under Section 10.3 & 10.5 of the Zoning Ordinance of the City of.
St. Louis Park for the following purpose: To use a commercial building to be
erected in accordance with plans filed with the City Building Inspector for
bowling alley purposes and
WHEREAS, the Council has considered the advices and recommendations
of the Planning Commission and the effect of the proposed use on the health,
safety and welfare of the occupants of the surrounding lands, existing, traffic
conditions, including parking facilities on adjacent streets, and the effect
on values and properties in the surrounding area, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of St. Louis Park that
it is hereby determined that the said proposed use will not be detrimental to
the health, safety or public welfare of the occupants of surrounding lands,
nor will it cause serious traffic congestion, nor hazards, nor,will it seri-,
ously depreciate surrounding property values, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that permit be hereby granted to the applicant
for the purpose above set forth, said permit to become effective only when,
as and if the Council shall adopt an ordinance rezoning Tract B (except the
S. 25 feet) and Tract C Registered Land Survey.No. 176 to Commercial Use
District.
