HomeMy WebLinkAbout522 - ADMIN Resolution - City Council - 1957/12/23353 Resolution No. 521 Adopted December 23, 1957 PROVIDING FOR ADOPTION OF AMENDED PERSONNEL _RULES AND REGULATIONS WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 2)4 as amended by Resolutions No. 278 and 351, the City Council has heretofore adopted and made effective rules and regulations relating to conditions,of employment of personnel employed by the City, and the City Manager has recommended further amendments and revisions thereof, the said rules and regulations being numbered Sections 1:300 thru 1:327 inclusive, .and a copy of same as so amended and revised being hereto attached, therefore BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of St. Louis Park that the said rules_and regulations as hereto attached be hereby adopted and made effective as of December 28, 1957, and shall supersede and amend said rules and regulations as adopted by Resolution No. 2141 and amended by Resolutions No. 278 and 351. Adopted December 23, 1957 0 0 ORDERING BRIDGE CONSTRUCTION WHEREAS, the City -Council has met at the time and place specified in notice of hearing on proposed bridge construction, published in the St. Louis Park Dispatch on December 12 and 19, 1957, and has conducted,a public hearing on said proposed bridge construction and has heard all persons in- terested therein, and WHEREAS, it appears to be necessary and in the public interest that the existing bridge, extending Minnetonka Boulevard over the right-of-way of the Great Northern Railway east of Aquila Avenue, be reconstructed as a joint project of the County of Hennepin, the City of St. Louis Park and the Great Northern.Railway; and the City Engineer has advised the Council that the same is feasible and should not be done in connection with any other project, and the County Engineer has advised the Council that the proposed cost is $115,000.00, and WHEREAS, it has been proposed that the City contribute 25% of said cost,•the remaining cost to be borne by the County and the railway, therefore BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of St. Louis Park that the City hereby undertake reconstruction of said bridge as improvement of Minnetonka Boulevard in co-operation with said County and railway, said bridge to be constructed in accordance with plans and specifications which have been prepared or approved by the County Highway -Engineer; that the City Attorney be authorized to join in a petition to the Minnesota Railroad and Warehouse Commission, to be executed jointly by the County, the railway and the City, requesting the Railroad and Warehouse Commission to make its order 354 Resolution1No. 522 - continued providing for allocation of the cost of said bridge on the basis of 25% there- of to be paid by the City; and that the Mayor and City Manager be authorized to enter into a contract with the County and the Great Northern Railway, pro- viding -for construction of said bridge as a joint project in accordance with the said order of the Railroad and Warehouse Commission, if so obtained, said contract to be approved.as to form by the City Attorney and as to con- struction details by the City Engineer. Fernstrom Mayor Resolution No. 523 Adopted December 23, 1957 RESOLUTION SETTING HEARING DATE FOR STORM SEWER, CURB & GUTTER, & SIDEWALK IMPROVEMENTS WHEREAS, the City Engineer has filed his preliminary report with the Council dated December 23, 1957, together with estimated cost for the following improvements, therefore BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council that the Clerk be directed to publish notice of hearing to be held at the Council Meeting January 13, 1958 on the following proposed storm sewer, curb and gutter, and sidewalk: Impr.
