Resolution No. 513 Adopted November 25, 1957
RESOLUTION APPROVING SECURITIES FOR COLLATERAL
FROM PARK PLAZA STATE BANK OF ST. LOUIS PARK_
WHEREAS, on November 12, 1956 the City Council designated the Park
Plaza State Bank as a depository for City Funds in an amount not to exceed
$300,000.00 at any one time, and
WHEREAS, the Park Plaza State Bank has presented as collateral in
addition to $150,000.00 of bonds now deposited, $50,000.00 U. S. Treasury
Notes 3.1.% due 5/15/60 dated 2/15/57
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the treasurer is authorized to
accept said securities as collateral to said account and to execute agree-
ment for deposit of same with the Marquette National Bank of Minneapolis
for safe keeping.

RESOLUTION CANVASSING ELECTION RETURNS
OF CITY ELECTION HELD DECEMBER 3, 1957
WHEREAS, the City Council has duly met as a canvassing board as re-
quired by the City Charter for the purpose of canvassing the election re-
turns of the regular City Election held December 3, 1957, wherein voting
machines were used for the casting of votes in every voting precinct of the
City, and
WHEREAS, the City Council has duly adjourned to the places where all
of the voting machines used in said election are kept, and have inspected the
registering counter of each and every voting machine used at said election,
showing the number of votes cast for each and every candidate voted on at such
election and any irregular ballots recorded therein and having compared the
number of votes so shown by such voting machines to have been cast for each
candidate voted on and by such voting machines with the returns made by the
election officers of the several districts in which the voting machines were
used at such election, and having found there is no discrepancy between the
returns so made by such election officials and the number of votes shown by
such voting machines on such inspection, except in Ward 3, Precinct L, machine
number 85366 under 9a - Walter L. Bush Jr., machine read 37 votes cast, return
sheet showed 31 votes cast, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED by the City -Council of the City of St. Louis Park that

number of absentee ballots and spoiled"ballots, if any is hereby determined to

RESOLUTION GRANTING PERMIT
UNDER SECTION 10.3 & 10.5. OF THE ZONING ORDINANCE
OF THE CITY OF ST. LOUIS PARK
WHEREAS, application has been made to the City Council by Victor F.
Condon of Naegele Advertising Company for permit under Section 10.3 and 10.5
of the Zoning Ordinance of the City of St. Louis Park for the following purpose:
to erect a sign 36' x 3011 (over 48 sq. ft.) at 5434 Excelsior Boulevard (White
Way Cleaners) and
WHEREAS, the Council has considered the effect of the proposed use on
the health, safety and welfare of the occupants of the surrounding lands, exist-
ing traffic conditions, including parking facilities on adjacent streets, and
the effect on values and properties in the surrounding area, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of St. Louis Park that
it is hereby determined that the said proposed use will not be detrimental to
the health, safety or public welfare of the occupants of surrounding lands,
nor will it cause serious traffic congestion, nor hazards, nor will it serious-
ly depreciate surrounding property values, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that permit be hereby granted to the applicant
for the purpose above set forth.
