Fernstrom Mayor Attest: Joseph Justad City Clerk Resolution No. 509 Adopted November 25, 1957 DENYING APPLICATION FOR SPECIAL PERMIT FOR USE OF PREMISES FOR GASOLINE SERVICE STATION WHEREAS, application has been filed with the City Clerk by The Pure Oil Company for a special permit to occupy and use premises at the south- west corner of the intersection of Texas Avenue and Wayzata Boulevard for a gasoline and oil filling station, in accordance with Section 10.3 and 10.3-18 of the Zoning Ordinance of the City of St. Louis Park, and WHEREAS, the City -Council has duly referred the said application to the Planning Commission and having received the report of the Planning Com- mission has considered the advices and recommendations of said Commission and the effect of the proposed use upon the health, safety and welfare of the occupants of surrounding lands, existing traffic conditions, including park- ing facilities on adjacent streets, and the effect on values of property in the surrounding area, and the Council having heard and given due consideration to the presentation in behalf of applicant at this present meeting of the Council by Mr. A. C. Godward, therefore BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of St. Louis Park that it is hereby determined that the proposed use of the premises will be detrimental to the health, safety and general welfare of the occupants of surrounding lands, will cause serious traffic congestion and hazards, and will seriously depreciate surrounding property valuation, and the said application for permit is hereby denied.
