HomeMy WebLinkAbout508 - ADMIN Resolution - City Council - 1957/11/251 1 1 Resolution No. 507 Adopted November 25, 1957 ORDERING WATERMAIN CONSTRUCTION WHEREAS, the City Council has met at the time and place specified in the notice published in the St. Louis Park Dispatch November 7 and 14, 1957, relating to the public improvement hereinafter described and has heard all interested persons appearing at said meeting and has secured from the City Engineer a report advising it in a preliminary way that each proposed improvement is feasible, and as to whether it should best be made as pro- posed or in connection with other improvements, and the estimated cost of the improvement, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by theCity Council of the City of St. Louis Park that the following public improvement be hereby ordered in accord- ance with plans and specifications which have been prepared by the City Eng- ineer and filed with the City Clerk, and which are hereby approved. R. •C:, Fernstrom Mayor Attest: Joseph Justad City Clerk Resolution No. 508 Adopted November 25, 1957 RESOLUTION GRANTING PERMIT UNDER SECTION 10.3 AND 10.5 OF THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ST. LOUIS PARK WHEREAS, application has been made to the City Council by Nordquist Sign Company for permit under Section 10.3 and 10.5 of the Zoning Ordinance of the City of St. Louis Park for the following purpose: for erection of a temporary sign 6' x 121 (72 sq. ft.) at 4521 Highway No. 7 and subject to all applicable codes and ordinances and WHEREAS, the Council has considered the effect of the proposed use on the health, safety and welfare of the occupants of the surrounding lands, existing traffic conditions, including parking facilities on adjacent streets, and the effect on values and properties in the surrounding area, therefore BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of St. Louis Park that it is hereby determined that the said propped use will not be detrimental to the health, safety or public welfare of the occupants of surrounding lands, nor will it cause serious traffic congestion, nor hazards, nor will it seri- ously depreciate surrounding property values, and 334 Resolution No. 508 - continued BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that permit be hereby granted to the appli- cant for the purpose above set forth. Fernstrom Mayor Attest: Joseph Justad City Clerk Resolution No. 509 Adopted November 25, 1957 DENYING APPLICATION FOR SPECIAL PERMIT FOR USE OF PREMISES FOR GASOLINE SERVICE STATION WHEREAS, application has been filed with the City Clerk by The Pure Oil Company for a special permit to occupy and use premises at the south- west corner of the intersection of Texas Avenue and Wayzata Boulevard for a gasoline and oil filling station, in accordance with Section 10.3 and 10.3-18 of the Zoning Ordinance of the City of St. Louis Park, and WHEREAS, the City -Council has duly referred the said application to the Planning Commission and having received the report of the Planning Com- mission has considered the advices and recommendations of said Commission and the effect of the proposed use upon the health, safety and welfare of the occupants of surrounding lands, existing traffic conditions, including park- ing facilities on adjacent streets, and the effect on values of property in the surrounding area, and the Council having heard and given due consideration to the presentation in behalf of applicant at this present meeting of the Council by Mr. A. C. Godward, therefore BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of St. Louis Park that it is hereby determined that the proposed use of the premises will be detrimental to the health, safety and general welfare of the occupants of surrounding lands, will cause serious traffic congestion and hazards, and will seriously depreciate surrounding property valuation, and the said application for permit is hereby denied.
