WHEREAS, the Fund Drive is being conducted inland has the backing
of all Minneapolis, St. Paul and suburban schools, including St. Louis Park's,
and
WHEREAS, the entry of educational television into the Twin Cities
area has been phenomenal and its reception ori the part of the general public
has been marked by almost unanimous enthusiasm, and
WHEREAS, KTCA - TV has provided and is providing a new dimension in
educational opportunity for children, young people and adults, now therefore
BE IT RESOLVED that St. Louis Park City Council recognize the great
value of educational television and the necessity for providing funds for its
maintenance and that this body urge all citizens to contribute "A Dollar or
Two for Channel 2".

RESOLUTION GRANTING PERMIT
UNDER SECTION 10.2 OF THE ZONING ORDINANCE
OF THE CITY OF ST. LOUIS PARK
WHEREAS, application has - made to the City Council by Fred Zabel
for permit under Section 10.29f theg�Zo
e ning Ordinance of the City of St. Louis
Park for the following purpose: Operation of a furniture upholstering shop
as a home occupation with one employee in building at rear of premises at
4020 Xenwood Ave. and
WHEREAS, the Council has considered the advices and recommendations
of the Planning Commission and the effect of the proposed use on the health,
safety and welfare of the occupants of the surrounding lands, existing
traffic conditions, including parking facilities on adjacent streets, aid
the effect on values and properties in the surrounding area, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of St. Louis Park
that it is hereby determined that the said proposed use will not be detri-
mental to the health, safe ty or public welfare of the occupants of surround-
ing lands, nor will it cause serious traffic congestion, nor hazards, nor
will it seriously depreciate surrounding property values, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that permit be hereby granted to the appli-
cant for the purpose above set forth, for a period of one year.
