HomeMy WebLinkAbout494 - ADMIN Resolution - City Council - 1957/11/04318 Resolution No. 193 - continued provement is feasible, and as to whether it should best be made as proposed or in connection with other improvements, and the estimated cost of the improvements, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of St. Louis Park that the following public improvements be hereby ordered in accordance with plans and specifications which have been prepared by the City Engineer and filed with the City Clerk, and which are hereby approved. Impr. No. 57-67 Installation and construction in all public streets dedicated in Minnehaha Gables Second Addition of water main, storm sewer, grading, graveling and sur- facing of streets, sod planting, tree planting, san- itary sewer, curb and gutter, and sidewalk. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said water main, storm sewer, grading, graveling and surfacing of streets, sod and tree planting, shall be done under contract with the subdivider, at no expense to the City, which has previously been authorized by the City Council, and that the City Clerk shall advertise for bids for said sanitary sewer, curb and gutter, and sidewalk, at such time as the City Manager shall direct upon determination that the streets of the subdivision have been graded and are ready for said improvements to be constructed. Fernstrom Mayor Attest: Joseph Justad City Clerk Resolution -No. 494 Adopted November L, 1957 ORDERING ACQUISITION OF STORM AND DRAIN OUTLET WHEREAS, the City Council has met at the time and place specified in the notice published in the St. Louis Park Dispatch October 2I and 31, 1957, 1 319 Resolution No. 494 - continued relating to the public improvement hereinafter described and has heard all interested persons appearing at said meeting and has secured from the City Engineer a report advising it in a preliminary way that such proposed im- provement is feasible, and as to whether it should best be made as proposed or in connection with other improvements, and the estimated cost of the improvement, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of St. Louis Park that Lot 9, Block 1, Del Monte Heights, be acquired by the City to serve as drainage basin and outlet for storm sewer and for surface waters now draining from the City streets, and the offer of the present owners of the property to sell the same to the city for $835.00 be hereby accepted and the City Manager be authorized to proceed with purchase of the same at said price upon approval of title by the City Attorney. Fernstrom Mayor Attest: Joseph Justad City Clerk Resolution No. 495 Adopted November 4, 1957 AUTHORIZING TAKING OF SEWER EASEMENTS BY EMINENT DOMAIN WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 277 adopted August 20, 1956, as supple- mented by Resolution No. 376, adopted March 11, 1957, the City Council has ordered construction of sanitary sewer improvement No. 56-62, and G. M Orr Engineering Company, the consulting engineers employed to design said sewer have recommended the acquisition of sewer and construction easements at the locations hereinafter specified, and it appears to the Council that it is necessary that the City acquire said easements for the purpose of con- struction and maintenance of said sewer, therefore BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of St. Louis Park that the City shall take by right of eminent domain each of the_sewer
