Resolution No. 486 Adopted October 21, 1957
SETTING HEARING ON PROPOSED INSTALLATION OF
ORNAMENTAL STREET LIGHTING
NHEREAS, the City Engineer has filed his preliminary report with
the Council dated October 9, 1957, together with the estimated cost for the
following improvement, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council, that the Clerk be directed to
publish notice of hearing to be held at the Council meeting November 4,
1957, on Improvement No. 57-66, proposed installation of ornamental street
lights in the following streets of the City:
Locations:
France Avenue from W. 26th St. to Cedar Lake Road
W. 25th St. from France Ave. west to dead end at Monterey Ave.
Basswood Road from France Ave. to Kipling Ave.
Kipling Ave. from Basswood Road to W. 25th_St.
W. 24th St. (Cedarwood Road) from France Ave. to west end
Cedarwood Road from Parklands Road to Parkwoods Road
Forest Road from France Ave. to Parklands Road
South Willow Lane
North Willow Lane
Forest Lane
Glenhurst Road from Forest Road to north end
Highwood Road
Cedar Lake Road from France Ave. to Great Northern R. R. bridge
Parklands Road
West Ridge Lane
South Hill Lane
Parkwoods Road
Estimated cost $42,377.50
The area proposed to be assessed is the lots and tracts of land
adjacent to the streets above described where the ornamental street lighting
is to be installed.

SETTING HEARING ON PROPOSED STREET IMPROVEMENTS
IN MINNEHAHA GABLES 2ND ADDITION
WHEREAS, a plat of a proposed subdivision known as Minnehaha Gables
2nd Addition has been filed with the City Clerk and application has been
made by the owner of the premises described therein for approval of said plat
by the City Council, and said proposed plat has been approved by the City
Council subject to approval of title and execution of contract by the applicant

for furnishing improvements for the subdivision, and
WHEREAS, the City Engineer has furnished his report dated Septem-
ber 30, 1957, as supplemented by a report dated October 14, 1957, Wherein
his estimate of cost of water main and storm sewer, grading, graveling and
surfacing of streets, sod planting and tree planting is 9$34,276.00, and
his estimate of the cost of sewer, curb and gutter, and sidewalk improve-
ments required for said subdivision is $49,376.25, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of St. Louis Park
that the Clerk be directed to publish notice of hearing to be held at the
City Council meeting November 4, 1957, on proposal to construct and install
all said improvements, the cost thereof to be assessable against all of the
lots and tracts in said Minnehaha Gables 2nd Addition, it being understood
that the sanitary sewer, curb and gutter, and sidewalk will be constructed
by the City, and the remaining improvements above referred to will be con-
structed and installed by the subdivider at his expense

SETTING HEARING ON STORM SEWER AND
DRAINAGE OUTLET
WHEREAS, the City Engineer has recommended to the Council
acquisition by the City of Lot 9, Block 1, Del Monte Heights, to serve as
a drainage basin and outlet for storm sewer and surface waters now draining
thereon from City streets, and it appears that the estimated cost of ac-
quisition and installation of drainage facilities in connection with said
drainage basin will be $1,000.00, and the City Assessor has recommended the
area to be assessed for. said cost to be as set forth in the following
resolution, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED that the City Clerk be hereby directed to publish
notice of hearing at the Council meeting November 4, 1957, on proposal to
acquire said Lot 9 for drainage purposes, the same to be designated as
Improvement No. 57-68, the area proposed to be assessed to be as follows:
Lots 4 thru 15, Block 1, Del Monte Heights
Lots 5 thru Lot 10, The Oakes
Lots 21, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, Auditorts Subdivision #323
