•GRANTING PERMIT FOR PLASTIC MOULDING
USE IN COMMERCIAL DISTRICT
W HEREAS, application has been filed with the Clerk by G. H. Hill as
owner of Lots 23 to 30 inclusive, Block 5, Rearrangement of St. Louis Park for
permit under Section 20.L-8 of the Zoning Ordinance authorizing use of said
premises for moulding of plastics, and
W HEREAS the Council has been informed that Earl Nelson and Sylvester
Mady propose to purchase said premises and lease the same to Wilcox Products
Company, a corporation controlled by them for the purpose of conducting there-
on a short run custom moulding of plastics business, and
WHEREAS it appears to the Council that the uses of the premises and
building thereon within the restrictions of the Commercial Use District will
be so limited as to result in unnecessary hardship to the owner thereof, and
the Council deems the proposed use (which is an operation invented since the
date of adoption of the Zoning Ordinance) to be an operation or process not
intended to be prohibited from the Commercial Use District, and that this
interpretation is in harmony with the fundamental purposes and intent of the
said ordinance, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED that Earl Nelson and Sylvester Mady, as owners, and
Wilcox Products Company, as tenant, be hereby granted permit under Section
20.4-8 of the Zoning Ordinance to use the existing building on Lots 23 to 30
inclusive, Block 5, Rearrangement of St. Louis Park for a short run custom
moulding of plastics business upon condition that the maximum capacity of
any injection presses used shall be not more than four ounces, and the moulds
formed and made on the premises shall not exceed 12" x 16" in area, and shall
be done by lathe, drill press and grinding causing no•noise which may be de-
tected beyond the said premises.
