HomeMy WebLinkAbout472 - ADMIN Resolution - City Council - 1957/09/30Resolution No. 1172 Adopted September 30, 1957 •GRANTING PERMIT FOR PLASTIC MOULDING USE IN COMMERCIAL DISTRICT W HEREAS, application has been filed with the Clerk by G. H. Hill as owner of Lots 23 to 30 inclusive, Block 5, Rearrangement of St. Louis Park for permit under Section 20.L-8 of the Zoning Ordinance authorizing use of said premises for moulding of plastics, and W HEREAS the Council has been informed that Earl Nelson and Sylvester Mady propose to purchase said premises and lease the same to Wilcox Products Company, a corporation controlled by them for the purpose of conducting there- on a short run custom moulding of plastics business, and WHEREAS it appears to the Council that the uses of the premises and building thereon within the restrictions of the Commercial Use District will be so limited as to result in unnecessary hardship to the owner thereof, and the Council deems the proposed use (which is an operation invented since the date of adoption of the Zoning Ordinance) to be an operation or process not intended to be prohibited from the Commercial Use District, and that this interpretation is in harmony with the fundamental purposes and intent of the said ordinance, therefore BE IT RESOLVED that Earl Nelson and Sylvester Mady, as owners, and Wilcox Products Company, as tenant, be hereby granted permit under Section 20.4-8 of the Zoning Ordinance to use the existing building on Lots 23 to 30 inclusive, Block 5, Rearrangement of St. Louis Park for a short run custom moulding of plastics business upon condition that the maximum capacity of any injection presses used shall be not more than four ounces, and the moulds formed and made on the premises shall not exceed 12" x 16" in area, and shall be done by lathe, drill press and grinding causing no•noise which may be de- tected beyond the said premises. LOUIS PARK WHEREAS, application has been made to the City Council by Suburban Sign Company for permit under Section 10.3 of the Zoning Ordinance of the City of St. Louis Park for the following purpose: for special permit for erection of a to x 20' (80 sq. ft.) sign at 8010 Minnetonka Blvd. (Suburban Cleaners) and WHEREAS, the Council has considered the advices and recommendations of the Planning Commission and the effect of the proposed use on the health, safety and welfare of the occupants of the surrounding lands, existing traffic conditions, including parking facilities on adjacent streets, and the effect on values and properties in the surrounding area, therefore
