HomeMy WebLinkAbout463 - ADMIN Resolution - City Council - 1957/09/16290 Resolution No. 462 Adopted September 16, 1957 ORDERING 2" BITUMINOUS STREET SURFACING WHEREAS, the City Council has met at the time -and place specified in the notice published in the -St. Louis Park Dispatch August 29 and -September 5, 1957, relating to the public improvements hereinafter described and has heard all interested -persons appearing at said meeting and has secured from the City Engineer a report advising -it in a preliminary way that each proposed improve- ment is feasible, and as to whether it should best be made as proposed or in connection with other improvements, and the estimated cost of the improvements, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of St. Louis Park that the following public improvements be hereby ordered in accordance with plans and specifications which have been prepared by the City -Engineer and filed with the City Clerk, and which are hereby approved, and the City Clerk is -hereby directed to advertise for bids which will be opened by the City Man- ager September 30, 1957 at 10 a.m. 2" BITUMINOUS SURFACING OF THE FOLLOWING STREETS: Impr. Fernstrom Mayor Attest: Joseph Justad City Clerk Resolution No. 464 Adopted September 16, 1957 LEVYING SPECIAL ASSESSMENTS FOR PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS WHEREAS, the City Council has met at the time and place specified in the notice of -assessment published pursuant to Resolution -No. 449 -in the St. Louis Park Dispatch August 29;1957, and -has held -a public hearing on each assessment described in said notice and passed upon all objections thereto,. therefore BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of St. Louis Park -that the proposed assessments on file in the office of the City Clerk covering the cost of each of the following described improvements be hereby adopted and -shall constitute a special assessment against the -lands named -therein in the respect- ive amounts therein set forth, which assessment, with -accruing interest thereon, shall be a lien upon the property included therein concurrent with general taxes payable in such equal annual installments as hereinafter respectively specified, the -first of which installments shall be payable concurrently with taxes levied- in eviedin the year 1957 and payable in the year -1958. Deferred installments shall bear interest at the rate of 6% per annum from the date of this resolution until December 31 of the year in which the installment is payable. The improvements above referred to, for which the assessments are herein adopted and levied, and the number of annual installments in which the assess- ment for each improvement is payable, are as follows: SANITARY SEWER CONSTRUCTION, payable in 10 equal annual installments 55-50 In Cedarwood Road (also known as West 24th Street) from France Avenue West to Lot 3, Block 1, Basswood, and in France Avenue from Cedarwood Road (West 24th Street) to Basswood Road 55-53 Quentin Avenue from 42nd Street to 41st Street 55-54 West 36th Street from Wooddale Avenue to Webster Avenue Webster Avenue from West 36th Street to St. Louis Avenue St. Louis Avenue from Webster Avenue to Yosemite Avenue 156-26 West 38th Street from Ottawa Avenue to Princeton Avenue
