HomeMy WebLinkAbout443 - ADMIN Resolution - City Council - 1957/08/19277 Resolution No. 14141 Adopted August 19, 1957 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE RELEASE OF SECURITIES OF PARK PLAZA STATE BANK WHEREAS, the Park Plaza State Bank has requested the release of the $100,000.00 United States Treasury Notes due May 15, 1960, pledged as security for the account of the City and -WHEREAS, there is sufficient securities pledged for the present account, BE IT RESOLVED, that the release by the treasurer of the $100,000.00 United States Treasury Notes due May 15, 1960 be approved. Resolution No. 1442 Adopted August 19, 1957 RESOLUTION SETTING HEARING ON SIDEWALK, CURB AND GUTTER IMPROVEMENTS WHEREAS, the City Engineer has filed his preliminary report with the Council dated 'Sept. 16, 1957, together with the estimated cost for the follow- ing Sidewalk, Curb and Gutter Improvements, therefore BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council that the Clerk be directed to pub- lish notice of hearing to be held at the Council meeting August 16, 1957, on the following proposed Sidewalk, Curb and Gutter Improvements: Impr. Resolution No. 444 Adopted August 19, 1957 CANCELING SUBDIVISION IMPROVEMENT CONTRACT AND RELEASING BOND Fr. Ft. $1.30 1.30 1.85 WHEREAS, under date of June 25th, 1956, The Murri-Mac Company entered into a written contract with the City of St. Louis Park by the terms of which said The Murri-Mac Company undertook at no expense to the City of St. Louis Park to provide streets and other improvements within a proposed subdivision known as Westwood Hills Second Addition, and WHEREAS, in conformance with the terms of said contract The Murri Mac Company procured a performance bond with the United States Fidelity & Guaranty Company, being bond No. 84178-12-5854-56, in the sum of $38,700.00, and WHEREAS, the entire area embraced within said proposed subdivision was subsequently sold to the school board and the proposed streets and other improvements abandoned, therefore BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of St. Louis Park that the subdivision improvement contract for Westwood Hills Second_Addition be and the same hereby is canceled and terminated and that The Murri Mac Company and the United States Fidelity & Guaranty Company be released and discharged from any and all obligations under bond No. 84178-12-5854-56.
