RESOLUTION NO. 390
DETERMINING LOWEST RESPONSIBLE BIDDERS
FOR SEWER IMPROVEMENT NO. 56-52
WHEREAS, the City Council duly opened bids at the Council meeting, May 13,
1957 for Trunk Sewer Improvement No. 56-52 as follows:

WHEREAS, G. M. Orr Engineering Company, consulting engineers employed by
the City for this project have recommended acceptance of bid of the Barbarossa-
Nodland joint venture in the sum of $986,059.00 as to Section A and the bid of
the Lametti joint venture in the sum of $616,983.48 and $654,875.72 respectively,
and it appears to the Council that said bids are the lowest bids of responsible
bidders received and the Rue Sornsin joint venture being determined not to be
relatively responsible for performance of the work.
WHEREAS, all bidders being present at this meeting and Lametti and Sons
Inc. and Peter Lametti Construction Company having offered to waive the stipulation
in their proposal requiring acceptance by the City of Section A, B and C and no
less than all thereof; and Rue Contracting Company & Sornsin Construction Company
having been requested whether they would likewise be willing to waive same require-
ment, and they having refused to do so, and relative responsibility of the respect-
ive bidders having been discussed and considered.
BE IT RESOLVED that the bid of Barbarossa & Sons Inc. and Nodland Con-
struction Company, Inc. a joint venture, in said sum for Section A, and Lametti
and Sons Inc., and Peter Lametti Construction Co. (a joint venture) for the respect-
ive amounts of $616,983.48 for Section B and $654,875.72 for Section C be hereby
determined the lowest bids of responsible bidders received for each of said
respective sections and the Mayor and City Manager be hereby authorized to execute
contracts in behalf of the City with said respective bidders in the form heretofor
approved by the City Council.

RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING CORRECTION OF DEED •
WHEREAS, by Quit Claim Deed recorded in Book 2076 of Deeds, page 524 in
the office of the Register of Deeds of Hennepin County a portion of Government
Lot 8, Section 4, Township 117, Range 21, lying southerly of Cedar Lake Road, was
conveyed to the city for street purposes, and it now appears that due to an
ambiguity in the description the title to adjoining premises is in question,
and it is desirable that the description of said land eonveyed to the city be
clarified.
