HomeMy WebLinkAbout375 - ADMIN Resolution - City Council - 1957/03/11214 • Resolution No. 374 Adopted March 11, 1957 ORDERING SIDEWALK CONSTRUCTION WHEREAS, the City -Council has met at the time and place specified in the notice published in the St. Louis Park Dispatch February 28 and March 7, 1957, relating to the public improvements hereinafter described and has heard all interested persons appearing at said meeting and has se- cured from the City Engineer.a report advising it in a preliminary way that each proposed improvement is feasible, and as to whether it should best be made as proposed or in connection with other improvements, and the estim- ated cost of the improvements, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of St. Louis Park that the following public improvements be hereby ordered in accordance with plans and specifications which have been prepared by the City Engineer and filed with the City Clerk and which are hereby approved, and the City Clerk is hereby directed to advertise for bids which will be opened by the City Manager at a date to be selected by him. No. Location Estimated Cost 57-4 West Side of Nevada Ave. from W. 28th Street to W. 29th Street 1673.25 Resolution No. 376 Adopted March 11, 1957 AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 277 ORDERING SANITARY TRUNK SEWER CONSTRUCTION WHEREAS, the City Council adopted its Resolution No. 277 ordering Sanitary Trunk Sewer Construction, Impr. 56-52, and WHEREAS, by its Resolution No. 368 the City Council ordered a supplementary hearing on proposed construction of said sewer improvement to be held on March 11, 1957, and the City Council having held such hearing pursuant to notice published in the St. Louis Park Dispatch on February 28 and March 7, 1957, having heard all interested persons and having secured and considered the report from G. M. Orr Engineering Company, Consulting Engineers employed to design said sewer and to prepare estimate and plans for the same, and having determined that the location of said sewer be modified in accord- ance with the recommendation of said G. M. Orr Engineering Company, therefore BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of St. Louis Park that said Resolution No. 277 is hereby amended to provide that construction of pro- posed sanitary trunk sewer Impr. No. 56-52 be hereby ordered to be located as follows: Beginning at Ortler Pass and 16th Street West to a point approximately 200' west of the Belt Line; thence northerly to Highway No. 12; thence along Highway No. 12 to approximately Nevada Avenue extended; thence southwesterly to Pennsylvania Avenue; thence southerly on Pennsylvania Avenue to 24th Street and Quebec Avenue; thence southerly on Quebec Avenue to Cedar Lake Road: thence along Cedar Lake Road to Sumber Avenue; thence on Sumter Avenue to 25th Street; thence along 25th Street to 26th Street; thence westerly to Virginia Avenue; thence southerly on Virginia Avenue to the Great Northern Railway Right -of - Way; thence along the Railway Right -of -Way to Boone Avenue extended; thence southwesterly to Minnehaha Creek and the cul-de-sac of Decatur Lane. Beginning at Pennsylvania Avenue and Franklin Avenue; thence westerly on Franklin Avenue to Westwood Hills Drive extended; thence northwesterly through the Westwood Hills Golf Course to the north city limits; thence along the north city limits to County Road 18; thence northerly to Highway No. 12; thence westerly along Highway No. 12 for a distance of approximately 2600'. Beginning at the intersection of Flag Avenue and the north city limits southwesterly along Flag Avenue and West ]Jath Street to Hillsboro Avenue; thence southerly to Independ- ence Avenue; thence westerly along Independence Avenue to County Road No. 18; thence southerly along County Road No. 18 for a distance of approximately 250'. Beginning at Pennsylvania Avenue and West 22nd St. easterly to Nevada Avenue; thence southerly on Nevada Avenue to Cedar Lake Road; thence easterly on Cedar Lake Road to Louisiana Avenue. Beginning at a point at the intersection of the Great Northern Rail- way and 29th Street extended; thence westerly on 29th Street to a point midway between Boone Avenue and Cavell Avenue; thence norther- ly to Cedar Lake Road along a property line and Boone Court and
