Resolution No. 368 Adopted February 18, 1957
SETTING SUPPLEMENTARY HEARING ON PROPOSED
SANITARY SEWER CONSTRUCTION
WHEREAS, the City Council by Resolution No. 277, ordered construction
of Sanitary Trunk Sewer Improvement No. 56-52, and the engineers employed by
the City have made preliminary report including their recommended route for
the course of the trunk sewer and estimated cost, the said recommended route
being at variance with the route originally recommended by the City Engineer
and said estimated cost being in excess of the cost furnished the Council by
the City Engineer's office, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council that the City Clerk be directed to
publish a notice of supplementary hearing to be held at the Council meeting
March 11, 1957, on construction of said proposed Sanitary Sewer Improvement
No. 56-52 at the location and estimated cost redommended by G. M. Orr Engin-
eering Company, which is hereby approved as a proposed revision of said loca-
tion and estimated cost:
Beginning at Ortler Pass and 16th Street West to a point approximately
200' west of the Belt Line; thence northerly to Highway No. 12;
thence along Highway -No. 12 to approximately Nevada Avenue extended;
thence southwesterly to Pennsylvania Avenue; thence southerly on
Pennsylvania Avenue to 24th Street and Quebec Avenue; thence southerly
on Quebec Avenue to Cedar Lake Road; Thence along Cedar Lake Road to
Sumter Avenue; thence on Sumter Avenue to 25th Street; thence along
25th Street to 26th Street; thence westerly to Virginia Avenue; thence
southerly on Virginia Avenue to the Great Northern Railway Right -of -
Way; thence along the Railway Right -of -Way to Boone Avenue extended;
thence southwesterly to Minnehaha Creek and the cul-de-sac of Decatur
Lane. Beginning at Pennsylvania Avenue and Franklin Avenue; thence
westerly on Franklin Avenue to Westwood Hills Drive extended; thence
northwesterly through the Westwood Hills Golf Course to the north
city limits; thence along the north city limits to County Road 18;
thence northerly to Highway No. 12; thence westerly along Highway No.
12 for a distance of approximately 2600'. Beginning at the intersection
of Flag Avenue and the north city limits southwesterly along Flag Avenue
and West 14th Street to Hillsboro Avenue; thence southerly to Independ-
ence Avenue; thence westerly along Independence Avenue to County Road
No. 18; thence southerly along County Road No. 18 for a distance of
approximately 250'. Beginning at Pennsylvania Avenue and West 22nd Street
Menne easterly to Nevada Avenue; thence southerly on Nevada Avenue to
Cedar Lake Road; thence easeterly on Cedar Lake Road to Louisiana Ave-
nue. Beginning at a point at the intersection of the Great Northern
Railway and 29th Street extended; thence westerly on 29th Street to
a point midway between Boone Avenue and Cavell Avenue; thence north-
erly to Cedar Lake Road along a property line and Boone Court and
Boone Avenue to Cedar Lake Road; thence westerly to a point approxi-
mately 500' west of Flag Avenue. Beginning at the point afAntersect,
ion of Hampshire Avenue and Highway No. 12 southerly on Hampshire
Avenue to 16th Street; thence southeasterly along West 16th Street
and West 18th Street to a point midway between Edgewood Avenue and
Dakota Avenue; thence Southerly along Edgewood Avenue to a point
approximately 500' north of the Great Northern Railway. Beginning at
Ortler Pass and 16th Street; thence easterly on 16th Street to the east
city limits; thence southerly along the east city limits to France
Avenue; thence along France Avenue to Forest Road; thence'along Forest
Road to Parklands Road; thence along Parklands Road, Cedarwood Road and
Parkwoods Road to the Belt Line; thence southerly along the Belt Line
to 26th Street extended; thence westerly along 26th Street and 26th

Street extended to Kentucky Avenue; thence southerly on Kentucky
Avenue to 27th Street; thence westerly to Louisiana Avenue; thence
southerly to 28th Street; thence westerly to Maryland Avenue.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the boundaries of the area proposed
to be assessed for said Improvement No. 56-52, shall be amended as follows:
Beginning at the SE corner of the NEI of the SEI of Sec. 30, T. 29,
R. 24, thence south along the east line of said -Sec. 30 and the east
line of the N2 of Sec. 31, T 29, R 24 to its point of intersection
with Cedarwood Road; thence west along Cedarwood Road to France Avenue;
thence south along France Avenue to West 28th Street; thence west along
28th Street to rear lot line of Lot 13, Block 2, Cedarhurst Addition;
thence north along rear lot lines of Lots 13 thru 1 said block and ex-
tended north along the rear lot lines of Lots 18 thru 4 and extended
north to 26th Street; thence west in 26th_Street to the north -south
center line of Block 5, Thorpe Bros. Cedar Lake Heights; thence south
along said center line and the same extended to the SE corner of Lot
18, Block 1, Peabody's Addition; thence west along the south lines of
said Lot 18 and Lot 1, Block 2, Peabody's Addition to the SW corner of
said Lot 1, Block 2; thence south along_the center line of said Block
2 and the same extended to the north line of Block 1, Barrett's Addition;
thence east along said north line to the east line of said Block; thence
south along said east line to east -west alley in said Block; thence
west along said alley and continuing west along alleys in Blocks 2 and 3,
said addition, and continuing west along the south line of Lot 5, Block
1, Woodridge Addition to the west line of Lot 8, Block 1, Woodridge
Addition; thence south along said line to West 28th Street; thence west
on 28th Street to the east line of Lot 5, Block 2, Woodridge Addition;
thence north along said line to the_north line of said Lot; thence west
along the north lines of Lots 5 thru 7 and extended west to the SW cor-
ner of Lot 3, Block 2, Jeffrey's Addition; thence north along rear lot
lines of Lots 3 thru 11, said Block to West 27th Street; thence west
along West 27th Street extended to its point of intersection with the
east line of Lots 10 thru 19, Block 1, Oak Lawn to the southeast corner
