HomeMy WebLinkAbout334 - ADMIN Resolution - City Council - 1956/12/031 1 1 Resolution No. 343 Adopted November 12, 1956 RESOLUTION GRANTING PERMIT UNDER SECTION 10.3 OF THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ST. LOUIS PARK WHEREAS, application has been made to the City Council by Meyers Outdoor Advertising Company for permit under Section 10.3 of the Zoning Ord- inance of the City of St. Louis Park for the following purpose: to erect a ground sign 61 x 261 at ,7924 Highway No. 7 and WHEREAS, the Council has considered the advices and recommendations of the Planning Commission and the effect of the proposed use on the health, safety and welfare of the occupants of the surrounding lands, existing traffic conditions, including parking facilities on adjacent streets, and the effect on values and properties in the surrounding area, therefore BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of St. Louis Park that it is hereby determined that the said proposed use will not be detrimental to the health, safety or public welfare of the occupants of surrounding lands, nor will it cause serious traffic congestion, nor hazards, nor will it seriously depreciate surrounding property values, and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that permit be hereby granted to the applicant for the purpose above set forth. Resolution No. 344 Adopted December 3, 1956 EXPRESSING APPRECIATION AND COMMENDATION FOR THE SERVICES OF GERTRUDE RENNER TO THE CITY WHEREAS, Mrs. Gertrude Renner has resigned and retired as of December 31, 1956, as Director of Public Welfare of the City after having served the City in the capacity of Welfare Worker, Secretary to the Village Clerk and Secretary to the City Manager, for a period of 18 years, during all of which time her services to the Village and to the City respectively and the officers thereof were com- petently and conscientiously rendered, and by her patient and gracious personal- ity and devotion to the best interests of St. Louis Park she has made an out- standing contribution during the period of her long service to the good name of the City and the Village which preceded it, therefore BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of St. Louis Park that the City Council at this time express its appreciation and commendation for the ser- vices performed by Gertrude Renner and that she be extended best wishes and felicitations for the years of her retirement.
