HomeMy WebLinkAbout328 - ADMIN Resolution - City Council - 1956/10/29-188 Resolution No. 326 Adopted October 29, 1956 AUTHORIZING REQUEST FOR DEDICATION OF STREET RIGHT-OF-WAY WHEREAS, there is under consideration a proposed reconstruction of bridge extending Minnetonka Boulevard over the right-of-way of the Great Northern Railroad and in connection with design of the bridge by the County Highway Engineer it is deemed desirable that a permanent public street be dedicated and laid out along the said Great Northern Railroad right-of-way extending from West 33rd Street to Virginia Avenue, where there is an exist- ing road some times used by the public with consent of the Great Northern Railroad, therefore BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council that the City Manager be author- ized and directed to request the Great Northern Railroad to dedicate to the City of St. Louis Park, for use as a public street, the southeasterly 24 feet of its right-of-way within the City of St. Louis Park extending from West 33rd Street to Virginia Avenue. Resolution No. 327 Adopted October 29, 1956 SETTING HEARING ON PROPOSED SANITARY SEWER AND BITUMINOUS SURFACING OF STREETS RESOLVED by the City Council that the Clerk be directed to publish notice of hearing, to be held at the Council meeting November 12, 1956, on the following proposed improvements: SANITARY SEWER AND BITUMINOUS SURFACING OF STREETS Impr. No. 56-96 Colorado Avenue from West 33rd Street to 300 feet south, estimated cost $2,860.00. 56-97 On North Side State Highway # 7 from Natchez Avenue to Ottawa Avenue: On Ottawa Avenue from State Highway # 7 to 660 feet north, estimated cost $12,255.10. The area proposed to be assessed is the lots and tracts of land adjacent to the streets above described where the improvements are to be made. Resolution No. 328 Adopted October 29, 1956 RESOLUTION PETITIONING THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS TO ACTIVATE A PARK DISTRICT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of St. Louis Park, Hennepin County, Minnesota, hereby petitions the Board of County Commission- ers for Hennepin County, pursuant to Chapter 806, Laws of Minnesota 1955, to activate a park district consisting of all of the County of Hennepin except that portion lying within the boundaries of the City of Minneapolis.
