RESOLUTION REGARDING ENCROACHMENT OF ANY KIND
WHATSOMM IN CONNECTION WITH
S.P. 27]1-39 (Bridge) & S.P. 2714-38 (T.H. 12=10)
WHEREAS, the City of St. Louis Park has approved the plans and specifi-
cations for the improvement of that part of Trunk Highway Number 10 renumbered
as Trunk Highway Number 12 within the corporate limits of the City of St. Louis
Park from 0.22 mile west to 0.30 mile east of Jct. with S.A.R. 18; and _
WHEREAS, in order to obtain Federal aid in the construction of said
Trunk Highway Number 10 renumbered as Trunk Highway Number 12 the Bureau of
Public Roads requires the assurance that the City of St. Louis Park will not
suffer any encroachment of any nature or kind whatsoever on the right of way
of said Trunk Highway Number 10 renumbered as Trunk Highway Number 12 ilithin
the corporate limits of the said City of St. Louis Park; and
WHEREAS, the Commissioner of Highways desires in the interest of
public safety that all parking of vehicles on said trunk highway be parallel
with the curb and at least 20 feet from any crosswalk.
NOW, THEN, BE IT RESOLVED that said City of St. Louis Park does hereby
agree and covenant that it will never permit. or suffer, within its corporate
limits, any encroachment of any kind whatsoever, including curb gas pumps and
gas stations, billboards or other structures of any kind whatsoever, upon the
right of way of Trunk Highway Number 10 renumbered as Trunk Highway Number 12
and to the above end said City of St. Louis Park hereby agrees that it will
never issue any license, permit, or grant, or give any leave or liberty or any
other consent of whatever form for the construction or maintenance of any en-
croachment whatsoever, including curb gas pumps and gas stations, billboards
or other structures of any kind whatsoever, upon said right of way; and that
said City of St. Louis Park will cooperate insofar as possible to eliminate
existing encroachments constituting traffic hazards and will further take
any necessary action to eliminate any encroachment that may hereafter exist
on said trunk highway right of way; and
BE IT FUR'1HER RESOLVED that said City of St. Louis Park does hereby
agree to require _the parking of all vehicles on said trunk highway to be
parallel with the curb and at least twenty (20) feet from any crosswalks on
all public streets intersecting said trunk highway within the corporate
limits of said City of St. Louis Park.

RESOLUTION SUPPORTING STATE CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENT NO. 2
WHEREAS,- proposed Amendment No. 2 to the Constitution of the State
of Minnesota, to be submitted to the voters of the state at the general
election November 6, 1956, will authorize a division of revenues collected
by the state from gasoline and motor vehicle taxes between the state and
political subdivisions thereof, including the City of St. Louis Park, and
WHEREAS, a substantial portion of these taxes are contributed by
the citizens of this City, and under the existing law cannot be made avail-
able for maintenance or improvement of Highways within the City other than
