HomeMy WebLinkAbout306 - ADMIN Resolution - City Council - 1956/10/081"76 Resolution No. 305 Adopted October 1, 1956 COMMENDING THE MEMBERS OF THE PARK COMMISSION AND RECREATION COMMISSION FOR THEIR SERVICES WHEREAS, by adoption of Ordinance No. 540 the City has terminated the previously existing Park Commission and Recreation Commission of the City, substituting in place of such Commission the newly created Park and Recrea- tion Advisory Commission, and WHEREAS, the members of said Commissions have hereto fore served the City unselfishly and with distinction, and without compensation, therefore BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of St. Louis Park that the citizens of the City who have served as members of said_Commissions be hereby commended and that there be extended to them an official expression of thanks from the City Council. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that copies of this resolution be forwarded by the Clerk to each of the members of said Commission who have served in the past two years. Resolution No. 306 Adopted October 8, 1956 RESOLUTION GRANTING PERMIT UNDER SECTION 10.3 OF THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ST. LOUIS PARK WHEREAS, application has been made to the City Council by Dahlen Sign Company for permit under Section 10.3 of the Zoning Ordinance of the City of St. Louis Park for the following purpose: Name Sign at 5313 Excel- sior Blvd., 5' x 12' in area and WHEREAS, the Council has considered the effect of the proposed use on the health, safety and welfare of the occupants of the surrounding lands, existing traffic conditions, including parking facilities on adjacent streets, and the effect on values and properties in the surrounding area, therefore BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of St. Louis Park that it is hereby determined that the said proposed use will not_be detri- mental to the health, safety or public welfare of the occupants of surrounding lands, nor will it cause serious traffic congestion, nor hazards, nor will it seriously depreciate surrounding property values, and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that permit be hereby granted to the applicant for the purpose above set forth.
