Resolution No. 290 Adopted Sept. 10, 1956
ABANDONING IMPROVEMENT NO. 55-101
WHEREAS, the City Council by resolution adopted October 10, 1955,
ordered grading and stabilization base Improvement No. 55-101 of Maryland
Avenue from W. 14th Sheet to W. 16th Street, and under date of November
7, 1955, entered into a contract with J. V. Gleason for doing said work, and
WHEREAS, said contractor has not completed the said improvement work
within the time specified in said contract and, due to changes in drainage
of surface waters within the area, it is necessary to modify the grade of
said street, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council that said Improvement 55-101 be
hereby abandoned and deleted from said contract.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the proposed grade for said street pre-
pared by the City Engineer and dated January 5, 1955, be hereby approved as
the established grade for said street.

SETTING ASSESSMENT HEARINGS
WHEREAS, the City Assessor has reported to the City Council that
the following public improvements heretofore ordered by the City Council
have been completed at the assessable cost hereinafter respectively set
forth, and that proposed assessment rolls have been prepared providing
for assessment of the cost of each of said improvements against every -
assessable lot, piece or parcel of land, in accordance with Section 429.051,
Minnesota Statutes, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of St. Louis Park
that said assessment rolls be hereby filed with the City Clerk and that the
Clerk publish notice that the Council will meet October 1, 1956, at 8
o'clock P.M. to consider said proposed assessments.
The improvements above referred to and the assessable cost of each
are as follows:

55-48 Widening, grading and bituminous surfacing of W. 36th
St. from Zinran Avenue west to a point midway between
Zinran Avenue and Aquila Avenue, including acquis-
ition of additional right-of-way $4,785.00
The area proposed to be assessed is the lots and tracts of land
adjacent to said portion of said street as described above.

from Flag Avenue to Fairway Lane and from Fairway
Lane to north end of turn around $5,776.80
