HomeMy WebLinkAbout274 - ADMIN Resolution - City Council - 1956/08/13153 Resolution No. 274 Adopted August 13, 1956 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING RECONVEYANCE OF TAX - FORFEITED LANDS WHEREAS, by conveyance of tax -forfeited lands dated February 25, 1944, Lots 18 to 29 inclusive, Block 253, Rearrangement of St. Louis Park, were conveyed to the Village of St. Louis Park by the State of Minnesota, and WHEREAS, the public uses for which said lots were secured have terminated, therefore BE IT RESOLVED by the City,Council of the City of St.- Louis Park that the above described property be reconveyed to the Stateof Minnesota and that the Mayor and City Manager be authorized and directed to execute in behalf of the City proper deed of reconveyance for that purpose. Resolution No. 275 Adopted August,13, 1956 RESOLUTION SETTING HEARING ON PROPOSED STORM SEWER CONSTRUCTION WHEREAS, the City Engineer has filed his report with the Council, dated July 27, 1956, recommending construction of a storm sewer to he designated as, Improvement No. 56-53 to be constructed at the follow- ing ,locations, within the City; Commencing at outlet on the West shore of Cedar Lake at point of intersection of extension East of Cedarwood Road; thence Westerly to intersection of Cedarwood Road and Parklands Road; thence South- westerly to intersection of Natchez Avenue and West 25th Street ex- tended; thence -West to State Highway No. 100; thence Westerly along approximate line of existing drainage ditch to the right-of-way of the Minneapolis, Northfield and Southern Railway at approximate inter- section of West 26th Street extended; thence West in 26th Street and the same extended to Hampshire Avenue; thence Northerly and West- erly along Hampshire Avenue extended to Kentucky Lane and to Cedar Lake Road; thence Westerly along Cedar Lake Road to Quebec Avenue, and WHEREAS, ,the City Engineer has estimated the cost of said pro- posed storm sewer construction to be $985, 701. 09, and WHEREAS, the City Assessor has recommended an area proposed to be assessed for said storm sewer construction, which is herein- after set forth, therefore BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council that the Clerk be directed to publish notice of hearing to be held at the Council -meeting September 4, 1956, on construction of proposed storm sewer Improvement No. 56-53 at the location above described, and
