RESOLUTION RE: PROPOSED PURCHASE OF
VOTING MACHINES BY HENNEPIN COUNTY
WHEREAS, a proposal for the purchase of voting machines by Hennepin County
has been presented to the Council, in which the suggestions of the Council were
requested, and
WHEREAS, the City Council deems it for the best interests of the City that
the separate ownership and maintenance of voting machines continue to be exercised
by the City, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council that the City,Manager be hereby directed
to communicate the decision of the Council to the County Attorney, County of Hennepin.

RESOLUTION GRANTING PERMIT TO CITY OF MINNEAPOLIS
TO CONSTRUCT WATER AND SEWER MAINS IN DREW
AVENUE SOUTH
WHEREAS, ti. appears that the owner of Lot 10, Block11, McNair Park, has
made application to the City of St. Louis Park for extension of sewer and water
mains to serve said lot, and the City Engineer has recommended that it is not
practicable to extend such mains and that said premises can be served more
efficiently by the City of Minneapolis, and the owner of said lot having made
application to the City of Minneapolis for extension of its mains to serve said lot
and it appearing that said City is willing to do so if granted permission by the City
of St. Louis Park, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of St. Louis Park that per-
mission is hereby granted to the City of Minneapolis to extend its water and sewer
mains in Drew Avenue South from the intersection of said street with the Minneapolis -
St. Louis Park boundary into the City of St. Louis Park, to serve Lot 10, Block 11,
McNair Park, and any other premises adjacent to said sewer and water mains in
the City of St. Louis Park, said permission being granted on the condition, however,
that the whole cost for extension of said mains shall be paid by the City of Minneapolis,
subject to its right to make arrangement for reimbursement from the owners of
property in the City of St. Louis Park served by said sewer and water mains and
for payment of connection and service fees by said owners; the City of St. Louks
Park to incur no obligation for the cost of constructing, installing or extending said
mains or maintenance thereof. 1
