The area proposed to be assessed for each of the above curb and gutter and
sidewalk improvements is the lots and tracts of land adjacent to the streets
above described where the improvements are to be made.

RESOLUTI O N
RESOLVED that Resolution No. 241 setting hearings for Curb and Gutter
and Sidewalk for May 21, 1956 be amended so as to provide for said hearings
being held at'the Council meeting -June 4, 1956.

RESOLUTION NO. 242 PRESCRIBING RULES AND
REGULATIONS FOR PURCHASE OF INSURANCE BY THE CITY
Adopted May 14. 1956
WHEREAS, it has been the policy of the City and Village Councils respec-
tively for many years past to purchase insurance requirements of the City and
Village respectively from insurance agents doing business within St. Louis
Park, the agents selected for this purpose being designated as "Associated
Agencies", and the Council now deems it proper that rules be adopted for deter-
mination of insurance agents eligible to participate in writing of City insur-
ance and prescribing the procedures for obtaining and underwriting such insur-
ance,
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of St. Louis Park as follows:
1.- It is hereby declared to be the policy of the City Council fo secure
the underwriting of all insurance requirements of the City through a group of
insurance agents, to be selected and said insurance,to be written in accordance
with the rules hereinafter established, said group of agents -to be hereinafter
called the "underwriting agencies".
2. The City Council shall determine the insurance agents who shall be
members of the underwriting agencies upon the basis of the qualifications of
each agent to perform the services required by the City in underwriting its
insurance and financial responsibility. In addition, the City Council shall
determine that each agent shill have complied with the following minimum re-
quirements:
' (a) The agent shall be a resident of the City at the time he makes
application and shall remain a resident of the City during all the time
that he acts as a member of the underwriting agencies.
