BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of St. Louis Park that it is
hereby determined that the said proposed use will not be detrimental to the health,
safety or public welfare of the occupants of surrounding lands, nor will it cause
serious traffic congestion, nor hazzards, nor will it seriously depreciate surround-
ing property values, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that permit be hereby granted to the applicant for
the purpose above set forth.

GRANTING PERMIT FOR EXTENSION OF COMMERCIAL
USE UNDER SECTION 20.4-3 OF TIE ZONING ORDINANCE
OF THE CITY OF ST. LOUIS PARK
RESOLVED that the application of Socony Mobil Oil Company as owner of Lots
6 and 7, Block 8, Lenox Addition for permit to extend commercial use over the West
20 feet of Lot 5, Block 8, Lenox Addition be granted subject to the following
conditions:
1. The said West 20 feet to be used for driveway and planting
purposes only.
2. That before using said premises the applicant will present
to the Council a proposed planting plan for a tree and shrub
border on the rear and alley sides of Lots 5, 6, and 7, aaid
Block 8,,to screen the adjacent residential properties.
3. That upon approval of said planting plan by the Council, the
applicant shall agree in writing to plant the premises in
accordance with the approved plan and to maintain the trees
and shrubs so planted for a period of at least ten years.

RESOLUTION GRANTING PERMIT
UNDER SECTION 10.3 OF THE ZONING ORDINANCE
OF THE CITY OF ST. LOUIS PARK
WHEREAS, application has been made to the City Council by Rutledge Construc-
tion Company for permit under Section 10.3 of the Zoning Ordinance of the City of
St. Louis Park for the following purposes:
CONSTRUCTION OF STORE BUILDING FOR RETAIL STORE PURPOSES
AT 4140 EXCELSIOR BOULEVARD, ST -LOUIS PARK, MINNESOTA and
WHEREAS, the Council has considered the advices and recommendations of the
Planning Commission and the effect of the proposed use on the health, safety and
welfare of the occupants of the surrounding lands, existing traffic conditions,
including parking favilities on adjacent streets, and the effect on values and pro-
perties in the surrounding area, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of St. Louis Park that it is
hereby determined that the said proposed use will not be detrimental to the health,
safety or public welfare of the occupants of surrounding lands, nor will it cause
serious traffic congestion, nor hazzards, nor will it seriously depreciate surrounding
property values, and

RESOLUTION GRANTING PERMIT

WHEREAS, application has been made to the City Council'by Johnson Cashway
Lumber Company by Macey Signs Inc. for permit under Section 10.3 of the Zoning
Ordinance of the City of St. Louis Park for mthe following purpose:
ROOF SIGN AT 5825 Excelsior Boulevard 361 x 6' Containing
words "GOOD LUMBER - JOHNSON CASHWAY" and
WHEREAS, the Council has considered the advices and recommendations of the
Planning Commission and the effect of the proposed use on the health, safety, and
welfare of the occupants of the surrounding lands, existing traffic conditions,
including parking facilities on adjacent streets, and the effect on values and
properties in the surrounding area, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of St. Louis Park that is is
hereby determined that the,said proposed use will not be detrimental to the health,
safety or public welfare of the occupants of surrounding lands,,nor will it cause
serious traffic congestion, nor hazzards, nor will it seriously depreciate surround-
ing property values, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that permit be hereby granted to the applicant for
the purpose above set forth.

RESOLUTI O N
RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of ST. LOUIS PARK, Hennepin
County, Minnesota, hereby accepts the offer of the NORTHERN STATES POWER COMPANY,
a Minnesota corporation, to furnish electric energy, lamp and glassware renewals,
and other services for the operation and maintenance of the City's ornamental
street lighting system, consisting of:
Thirty (30) single -light concrete standards (Meadowbrook Manor)
Six (6) single -light steel standards (Virginia Circle)
all located or to be located in said City, and hereby approves all rates, terms,
conditions, and specifications contained in the proposed form of Ornamental Street
Lighting Contract made a part of,the offer of said Company, and the proper officers
of the City are hereby authorized and directed to execute the aforesaid Contract
for and in the name of the City, and to affix the corporate seal thereto.
