RESOLUTION ADMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 222
RESOLVED that Resolution No. 222 Granting Permit under Section 10.3 of
the Zoning Ordinance to Roto Rooter Sewer Service Company be hereby amended by
inserting the following more specific description of the premises referred to
in said resolution:
All that part of the NE4 of SW- of Section 5, T 117, R. 21,
lying north of a line drawn parallel to Wayzata Boulevard
and 275 feet south of the south line of the right-of-way
of Wayzata Boulevard, and lying east of a line drawn par-
allel to Louisiana Avenue and 350.6 feet west of the West
line of Louisiana Avenue, except the East 150 feet of the
north 125 feet of said tract.

Resolution No. 229,
RESOLUTION SETTING HEARING ON PROPOSED IMPROVEMENT,
OF DAKOTA AVENUE
Adopted April 9, 1956
WHEREAS, the City Manager has presented to the Council the recommendation
of the City Engineer for improvement of Dakota Avenue from 33rd Street to the
Minneapolis, Northfield & Southern Railroad tracks, by grading, installation
of curbs and sidewalks, resurfacing, lowering of water main, and sloping of
adjacent property necessary in connection therewith, and it appears necessary
because of construction of the new high school that said improvement be made,
and the Engineer's estimated cost of said improvements3}sm brtka $7,110.40,
has been filed with the Clerk, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED that the Clerk be directed to publish notice of hearing, to
be held at the Council meeting on April 30, 1956, on said proposed improvement
to be designated as Improvement No. 56-4.

RESOLUTION GRANTING PERMIT
UNDER SECTION 10.3 OF THE ZONING ORDINANCE
OF THE CITY OF ST. LOUIS PARK
WHEREAS, application has been made to the City Council by Socony Mobil
Oil Company for permit under Section 10.3 of the Zoning Ordinance of the City of
St. Louis Park for the following purpose:
TO ERECT A GASOLINE SERVICE STATION ON LOTS 6 and 7, Block
8, LENOX ADDITION (SE CORNER LOUISIANA Ee MTKA. BLVD.) and
WHEREAS, the Council has considered the advices and recommendations of the
Planning Commission and the effect of the proposed use on the health, safety,
and welfare of the occupants of the surrounding lands, existing traffic conditions,
including parking facilities on adjacent streets, and the effect on values and
properties in the surrounding area, therefore
Resolution No. 230 continued
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of St. Louis Park that it is
hereby determined that the said proposed use will not be detrimental to the health,
safety or public welfare of the occupants of surrounding lands, nor will it cause
serious traffic congestion, nor hazzards, nor will it seriously depreciate surround-
ing property values, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that permit be hereby granted to the applicant for
the purpose above set forth.

GRANTING PERMIT FOR EXTENSION OF COMMERCIAL
USE UNDER SECTION 20.4-3 OF TIE ZONING ORDINANCE
OF THE CITY OF ST. LOUIS PARK
RESOLVED that the application of Socony Mobil Oil Company as owner of Lots
6 and 7, Block 8, Lenox Addition for permit to extend commercial use over the West
20 feet of Lot 5, Block 8, Lenox Addition be granted subject to the following
conditions:
1. The said West 20 feet to be used for driveway and planting
purposes only.
2. That before using said premises the applicant will present
to the Council a proposed planting plan for a tree and shrub
border on the rear and alley sides of Lots 5, 6, and 7, aaid
Block 8,,to screen the adjacent residential properties.
3. That upon approval of said planting plan by the Council, the
applicant shall agree in writing to plant the premises in
accordance with the approved plan and to maintain the trees
and shrubs so planted for a period of at least ten years.

tion Company for permit under Section 10.3 of the Zoning Ordinance of the City of
St. Louis Park for the following purposes:
CONSTRUCTION OF STORE BUILDING FOR RETAIL STORE PURPOSES
AT 4140 EXCELSIOR BOULEVARD, ST -LOUIS PARK, MINNESOTA and
WHEREAS, the Council has considered the advices and recommendations of the
Planning Commission and the effect of the proposed use on the health, safety and
welfare of the occupants of the surrounding lands, existing traffic conditions,
including parking favilities on adjacent streets, and the effect on values and pro-
perties in the surrounding area, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of St. Louis Park that it is
hereby determined that the said proposed use will not be detrimental to the health,
safety or public welfare of the occupants of surrounding lands, nor will it cause
serious traffic congestion, nor hazzards, nor will it seriously depreciate surrounding
property values, and
