HomeMy WebLinkAbout221 - ADMIN Resolution - City Council - 1956/03/05123 Resolution No. 220 Adopted March 5, 1956 On motion of Councilman Davis, seconded by Councilman Schadow, Resolution No. 220, having been read by City Attorney was adopted by unanimous vote of all Members of the Council present. RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PAiMLVT OF ADDITIONAL COMPENSATION WHEREAS, on or about October 1, 1955, Assistant Fire Chief K. G. Scheibe suffered a heart attack from which he has been incapacitated and unable to per- form his duties, and during said time Fireman Irwin Freeland has performed the duties of Assistant Fire Chief in place of said Scheibe, and said duties have been performed in addition to his regular duties as fireman, all without any extra compensation, and WHEREAS, it appears to be uncertain at this time as to whether said Scheibe will be able to return to his duties as Assistant Fire Chief in the near future, and that pending such determination it is desirable that Fireman Freeland continue performing said duties, and that he should be given additional compensation on account thereof, therefore BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council that the salary of Fireman Irwin Freeland from and after February 24, 1956, so long as he shall be directed to perform the duties of Assistant Fire Chief in the absence of Assistant Fire Chief K. G. Scheibe or until appointment of his successor, shall be on the basis of $5481 per year, said compensation to be payable only until he is relieved of these extraduties. Fernstrom, Mayor Reviewed for Administration Tom Chenoweth, City Manager Resolution No, 221 Adopted March 5, 1956 On motion of Councilman Jorvig, seconded by Councilman Bolmgren, the follow- ing resolution was adopted: RESOLUTION Land List ,"403-C" - Tax Forfeited Lands WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of St. Louis Park, Hennepin County, Minnesota, has received from the County Auditor of Hennepin County, Hennepin Minnesota, a list of lands in said city which became the property of the State of Minnesota under the provisions of law declaring the forfeiture of lands to the State for non-payment of taxes, which said list has been designated as Class- ification List tt403-Ctt, February 14, 1956; and WHEREAS, each parcel of land described in said list has heretofore been class- ified by the Board of County Commissioners of Hennepin County, Minnesota as non - conservation land and the sale thereof has heretofore been authorized by said Board of County Commissioners; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by said City Council, acting pursuant to Minnesota Statutes for 1949, Section 282.01, Subd. 1, that the said classification by said Board of County Commissioners of each parcel of land described in said list as non -conservation land be and the same is hereby approved and that the sale of each such parcel of land be and the same is hereby approved. LOUIS PARK WHEREAS, application has been made to the City Council by Roto -Rooter Sewer Service Company for permit under Section -10.3 of the Zoning Ordinance of the. City of St. Louis Park for the following purpose: Construction of a one story building and use of said building for general offices with garage and warehouse facilitiesin rear for housing of the applicants delivery service units, trucks, small bulldozers, trencher pumps and general warehousing for the applicants service equipment machine and service parts, and for greasing, and servicing and repairing the applicant's equipment only, on premises adjacent to Wayzata Blvd. Service Drive and 317 ft. west of",Louisiana Ave. WHEREAS, the Council has considered the advices and recommendations of the Planning Commission and the effect of the proposed use on the health, safety and welfare of the occupants of surrounding lands, existing traffic conditions, in- t cluding parking facilities on adjacent streets, and effect on values and proper- ties in the surrounding area, therefore BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of St. Louis Park that it is
