Resolution -203 Adopted January 16; 1956
On motion of Councilman Davis, seconded by Councilman Jorvig, the'following
resolution having been read was adopted by the unanimous vote of all members of
the Council present:
RESOLUTION SETTING HEARING ON PROPOSED
MINNETONKA BOULEVARD PAVING IMPROVEMENT
WHEREAS, a proposal has been received by the City'from the'Countrof'Henn-
epin that Minnetonka Boulevard from Dakota Avenue to Wyoming Avenue be improved
by concrete pavement as a joint project of the County and the City, and the
City Engineer has estimated that the total cost of said project will be
$210,322.42 of which, in accordance with the proposed division of cost, the
share to be paid by the City would be $115,994.33, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of St. Louis Park that the
Clerk be directed to publish notice of hearing to be held by the City Council
at the Council meeting January 30, 1956, on Improvement No. 56-1, for improve-
ment of Minnetonka Boulevard from Dakota Avenue to Wyoming Avenue by.placing
a concrete pavement•38 feet wide including integral curb; necessary storm
sewer, driveways and repair or replacement of existing sidewalks, at the esti-
mated cost set forth above, the area to be assessed for said portion of the
cost of said project as the Council shall deem proper for assessment to be the
lots and tracts of land adjacent to said portion of Minnetonka Boulevard to be
improved.

On motion of Councilman Jorvig, seconded by Councilman Wolfe, the following
resolution having been read by ,the' Secretary, was adopted by unanimous vote of
all members of the Council present:
RESOLUTION GRANTING PERMIT UNDER SECTION 10.3
OF THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ST. LOUIS -PARK
WHEREAS, application has been made•to the City Council by Meyers Outdoor -Adv.
Co. for permit under Section 10.3 of the Zoning Ordinance of the City Bf St. Louis
Park for the following purpose:
TO ERECT A 4' x 271 Sign at 6401 WEST LAKE STREET
and
WHEREAS, the Council has'considered effect of the proposed use'on the health,.
safety and welfare of the occupants of surrounding lands, existing traffic condi-
tions, including parking -facilities on adjacent streets, and effecton values and
properties in the surrounding area, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED by the CitrCouncil of the -City of St.. Louis Park that it is
hereby determined that the said proposed use will not be detrimental to the health,
safety ®r public welfare, to the occupants of surrounding lands, nor will it cause
serious traffic congestion, nor hazards, nor will it seriously depreciate surround-
ing property values, and
BE IT FURTHER -RESOLVED that permitObe hereby -granted -to the applicant for the
purpose above set forth.
