Resolution No. 197 - continued
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City.Council of the City of St. Louis Park
that the following public improvement be hereby ordered in accordance with plans
and specifications which have been prepared by the City Engineer and filed with
the City Clerk; bids heretofor received December 19, 1955 covering this and other
improvements are approved and contract with the lowest responsible'bidd'er as de-
termined by, the Council on said date is hereby authorized.

Watermain Extension 55-109 in Parkwoods Road from State Highway No. 100 to
interesection with South Hill Lane and Cedarwood Road; thence north and east in
South Hill Lane to turn around, and also east in Cedarwood Road to Westridge Lane.
Resolution No. 198 Adopted January 9, 1956
On motion of Councilman Davis, seconded by Councilman Bolmgren, the following
resolution having been read by the Secretary, was adopted by unanimous vote of
all Members of the Council present.
• RESOLUTION
At a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of St. Louis Park duly
held on the 9th day of January, 1956, the following resolution was adopted by un-
animous vete of'all Members of the Council present.
WHEREAS the Commissioner of Highways has prepared preliminary plans for the
improvement of a part of Trunk Highway Number 10 renumbered as Trunk Highway
Number 12 within the corporate limits of the City' of St. Louis Park at intersec-
tion of T.H. 10, renumbered 12, with Hennepin County State Aid Road No. 18, and
WHEREAS said preliminary plans are on file in the office of the Department
of Highways, Saint Paul, Minnesota, being marked, labeled, and identified as S.P.
2714-38 (T.H. 12) Layout 2; and
WHEREAS -copies of said preliminary plans so marked, labeled and identified
are also on file in the office of the City Clerk; and
WHEREAS the term "said preliminary plans" as hereinafter used in the body
of this resolution shall be deemed and intended to mean, refer to, and incorporate
the preliminary plans as in the foregoing recitals particularly identified and des-
cribed;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that said --preliminary plans for the improvement
of Trunk Higiway No. 10 renumbered Trunk Highway Number 12 within the limits of
the City of St. Louis Park be hereby approved, provided, however, that the Comm-
issioner shall investigate the need for service roads giving access to adjacent
property at the Northwest and Southwest corners of the intersections, and the cost
thereof, and a report of such investigation be given the Council prior to sub-
mission of final plans for approval.

Resolution No. 199 Adopted January 9, 1956
On motion of Councilman Bolmgren, seconded by Councilman Ehrenberg, the
following resolution having been read by the Secretary, was adopted by unanimous
vote of all Members of the Council present.
RESOLUTION GRANTING PERMIT
UNDER SECTION 10.3 OF THE ZONING ORDINANCE
OF; THE CITY OF ST. LOUIS PARK
WHEREAS, application has been made to the City Council by General Outdoor
Advertising Co. for permit under Section 10.3 of the Zoning Ordinance of the City
of St. Louis Park for the following purpose:

TO ERECT BILLBOARD AT 5100 WEST 31ST STREET
FOR LUMBER STORES, INC.
and
WHEREAS, the Council has considered, the advices and -recommendations of the
Planning Commission and the effect of the proposed use on the health, safety
and welfare of the occupants of surrounding lands, existing traffic condition,
including parking facilities on adjacent streets, and effect on values and
properties in the surrounding area, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City Council of the City of
St. Louis Park that it is hereby determined that the said proposed use will not
be detrimental to the health, safety or public welfare, to the occupants of
surrounding lands, nor will it cause serious traffic congestion, nor hazards,
nor will it seriously depreciate surrounding property values, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that permit be hereby granted to the -applicant for
the purpose above set forth.

On motion of Councilman Schadow, seconded by Councilman Ehrenberg, Resolu-
tion No. 200, Granting Permit under Section 10.3 of the Zoning Ordinance of the
City of St. Louis Park to General_Outdoor Advertising Company to erect a bill-
board at 5925 Highway No. 7, with the understanding that same have setback the
same as that of the Century Products building having been read by the Secretary,
was adopted by unanimous,vote of all Members of the Council present.

TO ERECT A BILLBOARD FOR THEMSELVES AT 5925 HIGHWAY NO. 7
and
WHEREAS, the Council has considered the advices and recommendations of the

welfare of the occupants of surrounding lands, existing traffic conditions, in-
cluding parking facilities on adjacent streets, and effect on values and proper-
ties in the surrounding area, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of St. Louis Park that it is
hereby determined that the said proposed use will not be detrimental to the
health, safety or public welfare, to the occupants of surrounding lands, nor will

BE IT; FURTHER RESOLVED that permit be hereby granted to the applicant for the
purpose above set forth, and that same have setback the same as that of Century
Products building, 5925 Highway No. 7.
