HomeMy WebLinkAbout80 - ADMIN Resolution - City Council - 1955/06/1339 Resolution No. 78 - continued WHEREAS it appears that by resolution of othe City Council adopted September 22, 1952, levying assessments for 51-283 Lift Station #3 #499, Lot 14, Block 3, High Holborn Addition was assessed for one unit of above assess- ment; and whereas on October 27, 1954, said lot was divided into a 40 foot lot; and whereas a house can no longer be built on a 40 foot lot; theref6re BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of othe City of St. Louis Park that the assessment for the 1955 thru 1962 heretofore levied against the following lot be canceled, and that the Auditor and the Treasurer of Hennepin County be hereby authorized to cancel the same upon their respective records and issue the property owner a corrected tax statement. Samon AMOUNTS TO BE CANCELED Lot Block 3 that part of Lot 14 lying N of S 201 thereof Addition High Holborn TOTAL 1955 1956 1957 1958 1959 1960 1961 1962 72.50 9.57 9.28 8.99 8.70 8.41 8.12 7.83 7.54 Resolution No. 79 Adopted Tune 6, 1955 On motion of Councilman Perkins, seconded by Councilman Hurd, the following resolution, having been read by the Secretary, was adopted by unan- imous vote of all Members of the Council present: RESOLUTION SETTING HEARING ON PROPOSED STORM SEWER BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of St. Louis Park that the Clerk be directed to publish notice of hearing of proposedstorm sewer Im- provement No. 55-43 extending from the intersection of Texas Avenue and West 37th Street Southwesterly along othe North Service Drive of State Highway No. 7 app- roximately 1,000 feet to existing storm sewer, and from outlet of said exist- ing storm sewer Westerly along said service drive to Minnehaha Creek at an est- imated cost of $28,950.00. Hearing to be held on June 20, 1955. The area proposed to be assessed is bounded as follows: Commencing at the intersection of Minnehaha Creek and West 36th Street extended; thence East along the Center line of West 36th Street to Texas Avenue; thence con- tinuing East along the Center Line of Walker Street to the intersection of the Center Line extended North of Alley in Block 314, Rearrangement of St. Louis Park; thence south along the Center line of said Alley to the North line of State Highway No. 7; thence Southwesterly along the Northerly line of State Highway No. 7 to Minnehaha Creek; thence North along Minnehaha Creek to the point of beginning. Resolution No. 80 Adopted _Tune 13, 1955 On motion of Councilman Davis, seconded by Councilman Perkins, the following resolution, having been read by the Secretary, was adopted by unani- mous vote of all Members of the Council present. RESOLUTION ORDERING STORM SEWER CONSTRUCTION WHEREAS the City Council has met at the time and place specified in the notice published in the St. Louis Park Dispatch June 2 and 9, 1955, relating to the public improvements hereinafter described and has heard all interested persons appearing at said meeting and has secured from the City'oEngineer a re- port advising it in a preliminary way as to whether each proposed improvement is feasible and as to whether it should best be made as proposed or in connection with some other improvement, and the estimated cost of the improvements as re- 4.® Resolution No. 80 Adopted June 13, 1955 commended; therefore BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of St. Louis Park that the following public improvements be hereby ordered in accordance with plans and specifications which have been prepared by the City Engineer and filed with the City Clerk. STORM SEWER IMPROVEMENT NUMBER LOCATION 55-49 Extending from intersection of Minnetonka Boulevard and Oregon Avenue south in Oregon Avenue to a point opposite Lot 9, Block 4, Boulevard Heights Second Addition. 1 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Lots 1, 2, 3, 7, 9, 10, 13, 15, 22 and 25, Block 4, Boulevard Heights Second Addition, and Lots 14, 15, 17, 18, and 19, Block 3, Boulevard Heights Second Addition, being a natural depository for surface waters in the vicinity thereof and a necessary depository for waters drained by the said storm sewer, it is hereby deemed necessary and proper that the said lots be acquired by the City for storm water drainage purposes, and the offer of W. P. Bissonnette, owner of Lots 14, 15, 17, 18 and 19, Block 3, and Lots 1, 2, 3, 7, 9, 10, 13, 15, 22 and 25, Block 4, Boulevard Heights Second Addition, to sell and convey the same to the City for $4,500.00, the City to pay any unpaid taxes against said lots, being dwtermined fair and reasonable, the p the purchase of said lots at said price is hereby authorized on approval of the title by the City Attorney and receipt of warranty deed approved by the City Attorney amaixammaipt conveying title to said lots to the city.and the payment of said sum for the purchase of said lots is authorized. The Clerk is authorized to advertise for bids, to be opened by the City Manager July 11, 1955, at 10:00 o'clock-A.M. for the construction of said storm sewer in accordance with plans and specifications prepared by the City Engineer which are hereby approved. Resolution No. 81 Adopted June 13, 1955 On motion of Councilman Middleton, seconded by Councilman Perkins, the following resolution having been read by the -Secretary, was adopted by unanimous vote of all Members of'the Council present: RESOLUTION ORDERING SIDEWALK CONSTRUCTION WHEREAS the City Council has met at the time and place specified in the notice published in the St. Louis Park Dispatch May 26 add June 2, 1955, relat- ing to the public improvements hereinafter descrived and has heard all interested persons appearing at said meeting and has secured from the City Engineer a re- port advising it in a preliminary way as to whether each proposed improvement is feasible and as to whether it should best be made as proposed or in connection with some other improvement, and the estimated cost of the improvements as reco- mmended; therefore, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of St. Louis Park that the following public improvements be hereby ordered in accordance withplans and specifications which have been prepared by the City Engieer and filed with the City Clerk, and the City Clerk is hereby directed to advertise for bids which will be openend by the City Manager, July 11, 1955, at 10 o'clock A.M.
