HomeMy WebLinkAbout23 - ADMIN Resolution - City Council - 1955/02/219 Resolution No. 21 Adopted February 14, 1955 The following resolution, having been read by the Secretary, it was moved by Councilman Hurd, seconded by Councilman Bolmgren, that same be -adopted by unanimous vote of all Members of the Council: RES0LUT10N RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of St. LouisPark to memorialize the Legistature of the State of Minnesota to adopt House File - "A bill for an act to provide fora Policemen's pension, etc." provided that the following amendments be made to the Bill: 1. Eliminate subdivision (c) and (d) of Section 6 2. Eliminate from line 4 of subdivision 2 of Section 7 the works "or less than three -tenths of one mill". Resolution No. 22 Adopted February 21. 1955 The following resolution, having been read by the Secretary, it was moved by Councilman Middleton, seconded by Councilman Perkins, that same be adopted. Motion was passed by unanimous vote of all Members of the Council present: RESOLUTI O N RESOLVED that Northwestern National Bank of Minneapolis as a designated=de- pository of the City of St. Louis Park be and it is hereby requested, authorized and directed to honor checks, drafts or otherorders for the payment of money drawn in this City's name, including those payable to the individual order of any person or person's whose name or names appear thereon as signer or signers thereof, when bearing or purporting to bear the facsimile signatures of all three of the follow- ing: Phil W. Smith, City Manager, Joseph Justad, Clerk, and Mildred H. Melbourne, Treasurer, and Northwestern National Bank of Minneapolis shall be entitled to honor and to charge to this City for such checks, drafts, or other orders, regardless of by whom or by what means the actual.or purported facsimile signature or signatures thereon may have been affixed thereto, if such signature or signatures resemble the facsimile specimens duly certified to or filed with Northwestern National Bank of Minneapolis by the Clerk or other officer of this City. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that any and all resolutions heretofore adopted by the City Council of the City of St. Louis Park and certified to Northwestern National Bank of Minneapolis as governing the operation of this City's account (s) with it, be and are hereby continued in full force and effect, except as the same may be supplemented or modified by the foregoing part of this resolution. Resolution No., 23 Adopted February 21, 1955 The following resolution, having been read by the Secretary, it was moved by Councilman Perkins, seconded by Councilman Davis, that same be adopted. Motion was' passed by unanimous vote of all Members of the Council present: RESOLUTION RESOLVED that Northwestern National Bank of Hopkins as a designated depository of the City of St. Louis Park be and it is hereby requested, authorized and directed to honor checks, drafts or other orders for the payment of money drawn in this City's name, including those -payable to the individual order of any'person or persons whose 10 name or names appear thereon as signer or signers thereof, when bearing or pur- porting to bear facsimile signatures of all three of the following: Phil W. Smith, City Manager, Joseph Justad, Clerk, and Mildred H. Melbourne, Treasurer, and North- western National Bank of Hopkins shall be entitled to honor and to charge to this City for such checks, draftsm or other orders, regardless of by whom or by what means the actual or purported facsimile signature or sugnatures thereon may have been affixed thereto, if such signature or signatures resemble the facsimile speci- mens duly certified to or filed with Northwestern National Bank of Hopkins by the Clerk:or Other officer of this City. Resolution No. 24 Adopted February 21. 1955 The following resolution,having been read by the Secretary, it was moved by Councilman Davis, seconded by Councilman Bolmgren that same be adopted. Motion was passed by unanimous vote of all Members of the Council present: RESOLVED, that Citizen's State Bank of St. Louis Park as a designated deposi- tory of the City of St. Louis Park be and it is hereby requested, authorized and directed to honor checks, drafts or other orders for the payment of money drawn in this City's name, including those payable to the individual order of any per- sons whose name or names appear thereon as signer or signers thereof, when bear- ing or purporting to bear the facsimile signatures of all three of the following: Phil W. Smith, City Manager, Joseph Justad, Clerk, and Mildred H. Melbourne, Treasurer, and Citizens's State Bank of St. Louis Park shall be entitled to honor and to charge to this City for such checks, drafts, or other orders, regardless of whom or by what means the actual or purported facsimile signature or signatures thereon may have been affixed thereto, if such signature or -signatures resemble the facsimile specimens duly certified to or filed with Citizen's State Bank of St. Louis Park by the Clerk or Other officer of this City. BE IT RURTHER RESOLVED, that any and all resolutions heretofore adopted by the City Council of the City of St. Louis Park and certified to Citizen's State Bank of St. Louis Park as governing the operation of this City's account (s) with it, be and are hereby continued in full force and effect, except as the same may be supplemented or modified by the foregoing part of this resolution. Resolution No. 25 Adopted FEtbruary 28. 1955 REsolotion Setting hearing - Curb and Gutter - 53-3 etc. On motion of Councilman Bolmgren, seconded by Councilman Jorvig, the following resolution having been read was adopted by unanimous vote of all members of the Council: RESOLUTION SETTING HEARINGS CURB AND GUTTER RESOLVED, by the City Council that hearings be held at the Council meeting March 28, 1955 on the following proposed Curb and Gutter Improvements, estimated cost as respectively set forth being approved, and the area to be assessed -to be lots and tracts adjacent to the curb and gutter: PRO.JECT NUMBER STREET FROM TO 55-3 Texas Avenue - Minnetonka Blvd State Hw'y #7 55-4 East Sfde Oregon Ave. -Minnetonka Blvd. W.31st St. 55-5 5 East Side Oregon Ave.- W. 31st St. W.32nd St. ESTIMATED COST $6519.58 1425.31 1431.75 i i
