ResolutiontNo. 194 Adapted December 19, 1955
On motion of Councilman Perkins, seconded by Councilman Middleton, the
following resolution having been read was adopted by unanimous vote of all
members of the Council present:
RESOLUTION ORDERING CURB AND GUTTER,
AND SIDEWALK IMPROVEMENTS
t WHEREAS, the City Council met August 29, 1955, at the time and place speci-
fied in the notice•pub1ished in the St. Louis Park Dispatch August 18 and 25,
1955, relating to public improvements hereinafter described, and heard all in-
terested persnns appearing at said meeting, and having secured from the City
Engineer a report advising it.in a preliminary way as to whether each proposed
improvement was feasible and as to whether it should best be made as proposed
or in connection with some other improvements, and the estimated cost of the •
improvements, and did thereupon adopt a resolution ordering said improvements
by unanimous vote of all Members of the Council present, ther being but four
members then present, and
•WHEREAS, there being seven members of the Council present at this present
meeting and it being the desire of the Council -to ratify, confirm and re -adopt
said resolution adopted August 29, 1955, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of 'the City of St. Louis Park that the
following public improvements be hereby ordered in accordance with the plans and
specifications which have been prepared by the City Engineer and filed 'with the
City Clerk:

On motion of Councilman Middleton, seconded by Councilman Perkins, the
following resolution, having been read, was adopted by the unanimous vote of
all members of the Council•present:
RESOLUTION CANTASSING ELECTION RETURNS OF CITY
ELECTION HELD DECEMBER 6, 1955
WHEREAS, the City Council has duly met as a canvassing board as required by
the City Charter for the purpose of canvassing the election returns of the re-
gular City Election held December 6, 1955, wherein voting machines were used for
the casting of votes in every voting precinct of the City, and

WHEREAS, the City Council has duly adjourned to the places where all of ;the
voting.machines used in said election are kept, and have inspected' the register-
ing counter of each and every voting machine used at said election, showing the
number of votes cast for each and every candidate voted on at such election and
any irregular ballots recorded thereon or therein, and having compared the num-
ber of votes so shown by such voting machines to have been cast for each can-
didate voted on and by such voting machines with the returns made by the election
officers of the several districts in which the voting machines were used at such
election, and having found there is no discrepancy between the returns so made
by such election officials and the number of votes shown by such voting machines
on such inspection, therefore
BE IT`RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of St. Louis Park that:
1. Said election returns be hereby canvassed.and the number of
by each candidate voted upon at such election, together with'the
sentee ballots and spoiled ballots, if any, is hereby determined

4. That the total number of soiled or defective ballots cast at said election
were two in Ward 3, Precinct 10, and one in Ward 3, Precinct 13, and one in Ward
4, Precinct 14 (write-in vote for Torval Jorvig)
5. That a,(statement setting forth the contents of this resolution, together
with the list of the names of the Judges and Clerks of said Election which has
been prepared by the Clerk, bg filed with the Clerk'as required by Section 4.08
of the City Charter.
Resolution No. 196 Adopted _January 3, 1956
On motion of Councilman Bolmgren, seconded by Councilman Hurd, the follow-
ing resolution having been read was adopted by the unanimous' vote of all members
of the Council present:
RESOLUTION DESIGNATING VOTING PRECINCTS
WHEREAS, the numerical designation of voting precincts of the city as deter-
mined by the Village Council prior to establishment of wards by the City Charter
has been found to be confusing, and it appears desirable to re -number` said voting
precincts, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of St. Louis Park that the
existing numerical designation of each of the existing voting precincts of the
City as heretofore determined shall be hereby changed so that each of said pre-
cincts shall be known and designated as follows:

On motion of Councilman Bolmgren, seconded by Councilman Wolfe, the follow-
ing resolution having been read was adopted by the unanimous vote of all Members
of the Council present:
RESOLUTION ORDERING
WATERMAIN EXTENSIONS
WHEREAS the City Council has met at the time and place specified in the
notice published in the St. Louis Park Dispatch December 22 and 29, 1955, relat-
ing to the public improvement hereinafter described and has heard all interested
persons appearing at said meeting and has secured from the City Engineer a report
advising it in a preliminary way as to whether each proposed improvement is feasible
and as to whether it should best be made as proposed or in connection with some
other improvements, and the estimated cost of the improvements;
