On motion of Councilman Middleton, seconded by Councilman Hurd, the follow-
ing resolution having been read was adopted by the unanimous vote of all Members
of the Council present:
RESOLUTION ORDERING WATER MAIN EXTENSION
WHEREAS the City Council has met at the time and place specified in the notice
published in the St. Louis Park Dispatch October 27, 1955, relating to the public
improvements hereinafter described and has heard all interested persons appearing
at said meeting and has secured from the City Engineer a report advising it in a
preliminary way as to whether each proposed improvement is feasible and as to
whether it should best be made as proposed or in connection with some other improve-
ments, and the estimated cost of the improvements;
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of St. Louis Park
that the following public improvements be hereby ordered in accordance with plans
and specifications which have been prepared by the City Engineer and filed with
the City Clerk, and the City Clerk will advertise for bids for this improvement
at such time as the City Engineer shall recommend that this improvement be com-
bined with other water main extensions subsequently ordered.
WATER MAIN EXTENSION
Impr. No.'55-104 In Texas Ave. from Cedar Lake Road to Franklin Ave.
The portion of the cost of the main representing the cost of a 6" lateral
service main as determined by the City Engineer shall be paid in advance by the
owner of adjacent property before any contract is entered into for construction
of this main.

On motion of Councilman Middleton, seconded by Councilman Bolmgren, Re-
solution No. 175 having been read was adopted by unanimous vote of all Members
of the Council present.
RESOLUTION GRANTING PERMIT
UNDER SECTION 10.3 OF THE ZONINGORDINANCE
OF THE CITY OF ST. LOUIS PARK
WHEREAS, application has been made to the City Council by Liebenberg- to Kaplan,
Architects for permit under Section 10.3 of the Zoning Ordinance of the City of St.
Louis Park for the following purpose:
To construct a Presbyterian Church on Lots 14 thru 19,
Block 1, Westwood Hills First Addition
and
WHEREAS, the Council has considered the advices and recommendations of the
Planning Commission and the effect of the proposed use on the health, safety and
welfare of the occupants of surrounding lands, existing traffic conditions, in-
cluding parking facilities on adjacent streets, and effect on values and properties
in the surrounding area, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of St. Louis Park that it is
hereby determined that the said proposed use will not be detrimental to the health,
safety or public welfare, to the occupants of surrounding lands, nor will it cause
serious traffic congestion, nor hazards, nor will it seriously depreciatetsurround-
ing property values, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that permit be hereby granted to the applicant for the
purpose above set forth.
