HomeMy WebLinkAbout149 - ADMIN Resolution - City Council - 1955/09/1983 Resolution No. 149 Adopted September 19, 1955 On motion of Councilman Bolmgren, seconded by Councilman Jorvig, the follow- ing resolution having been read was adopted by unanimous vote of all members of the Council present: RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING SEWER CONNECTION WHEREAS, Creek Terrace, Inc. has made application for sanitary sewer connection with a building now under construction for the International Business Machines Corpora- tion, lying westerly of Minnehaha Creek and Excelsior Boulevard in the City of St. Louis Park, and it appears to be more practicable and economical that said sewer be connected to the sanitary sewer of the City of Hopkins in Excelsior Boulevard than directly into the sanitary sewer system of the City of St. Louis Park, and WHEREAS,_said City of Hopkins is willing to permit such connection on con- dition that the volume of -sewage emptied into its sewer from said property shall not be construed as being included within the maximum volume of sewage which the City of Hopkins is permitted to empty into the sanitary sewer system of the City of St. Louis Park under the agreement for inter -connection of sewers entered into between said cities on June 7; 1946, therefore BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of St. Louis Park that the City of Hopkins be requested to permit Creek Terrace, Inc. to make sanitary sewer connection to serve the building now under construction for International Busin- ess Machines Corporation situated immediately westerly of Minnehaha Creek on Excelsior Boulevard in the City of St. Louis Park with the sanitary sewer of the City of Hopkins situated in Excelsior Boulevard adjacent to said property, and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that if the City of Hopkins shall permit such conn- ection, with a device satisfactory to the City Engineer, and subject to his inspection at all times, to measure the volume of sewage discharged into its said sewer shall not be taken into -account indetermining the maximum flow of sewage which may be discharged into the sanitary sewer system of the City of St. Louis Park from the sanitary sewer system of the City of Hopkins pursuant to the agreement for inter -connection of sewers entered into between the Village (now City) of St. Louis Park and the City of Hopkins on June 7, 1946. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that before such premises are connected with said Hopkins sewer, the owner thereof shall make application to the City of St. Louis Park for a sewer permit and pay the regular fee as if actually connected with the St. Louis Park sewer system. Resolution No. 150 Adopted Septeinber19, 1955 On(motion of -Councilman Hurd, seconded by Councilman Middleton, the following resolution having been read was adopted by the unanimous vote of all members of the Council present: RESOLUTION APPOINTING AUDITOR RESOLVED by the City Council of -the City'of St. Louis Park that George M. Hansen be hereby employed for ,-the purpose of examining and auditing the account- ing books and records of the city for the calendar year 1955 and for the purpose of preparing and submitting to the City Council a report of such audit, upon the understanditng that his fee for such services shall be reasonable in accordance with customary fees of certified public accountants for similar work. Said ex- amination and audit shall be commenced promptly hereafter and shall be continued diligently without substantial interruption until completed on or before March 1, 1956. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager be hereby authorized to employ Mr. Hansen for consultation in regard to accountlfroblems of the city at such times as the City Manager shall deem necessary on the basis of a reasonable fee for such services. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Mr. Hansen shall accept the employment provided by this resolution by a letter, signifying his acceptance, addressed to the City Council.
