HomeMy WebLinkAbout147 - ADMIN Resolution - City Council - 1955/09/1979 Resolution No. 146 Adopted September 19, 1955 On motion of Councilman Hurd, seconded by Councilman Perkins, the reading of Resolution No. 146 having been waived by unanimous consent of all Councilman present, ordering the construction of sidewalk, Improvement No. 55-100 -- on the West Side of Texas Avenue from State Highway No. 7, north to existing walk ad- jacent to Park Knoll School, was adopted by unanimous vote of all Members of the Council present: RESOLUTION ORDERING SIDEWALK CONSTRUCTION WHEREAS the City Council has met at the time and place specified in the notice published in the St. Louis Park Dispatch September 8 and 15, 1955, relat- ing to the -public improvements hereinafter described and has head all interested persons appearing at said meeting and has secured from the City Engineer a report advising it in a preliminary way as to whether each proposed improvement is feas- ible and as to whether it should best be made as proposed -or in connection with some other improvements, and the estimated cost of the improvements; THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of St. Louis Park that the following public improvements be hereby ordered in accordance with plans and specifications which have been prepared by the.City Engineer and filed.with the City"Clerk, and the City Clerk is hereby directed to advertise for bids which will be opened by the City Manager October 10, 1955 at 10 a.m. Sidewalk Construction Improvement No. 55-100 On West Side of Texas Ave. from State Highway No. 7 north to existing sidewalk adjacent to Park Knoll School Resolution No. 147 Adopted September 19, 1955 wy Resolution No. 147 was read by Secretary Justad. On motion of Councilman Bolmgren, seconded by Councilman Perkins, Resolution No. 147, levying assessments for Improvements Nos. 52-223 and others, described therein, was adopted by un- animous vote of all Members of the Council present. RESOLUTION LEVYING SUPPLEMENTAL ASSESSMENT WHEREAS, the City Council has heretofore levied assessments for the public improvements hereinafter described, and it appearing that there were costs incurred by the city in connection with each improvement in the sums hereinafter respective- ly set forth which were omitted from the original assessment, and WHEREAS, the City Council has conducted a hearing in the same manner as the original hearing and upon notice published in the St. Louis Park Dispatch August 18, 1955 therefore BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of St. Louis Park that supp- lemental assessments for the following described improvements which have been prepared by and which are on file in the office of the City Clerk be hereby ad- opted as supplemental special assessments against the lots and tracts of land described therein, and each and every tract of land described thex.n is hereby found to be benefited in the amount of the respective sums herein assessed in addition to the assessments heretofore levied on account of each of said improvements: IMPROVEMENT NO. Resolution No. 148 Adopted September 19. 1955 On motion of Councilman_Bolmgren, seconded by Councilman Perkins, Resolution No. 148, ordering assessments for improvements described therein, was adopted by unanimous vote of all Members of the Council present. ASSESSMENT RESOLUTION WHEREAS, the City Council has met at the time and.place specified in a notice of assessment published in the St. Louis Park -Dispatch on September 1, 1955, stating the general nature of the following improvements and the respec- tive areas to be assessed, and has heard and passed upon all objections to the proposed assessments, therefore BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of St. Louis Park that the proposed assessment rolls on file in the office of the City Clerk covering the cost of the following described improvements be hereby adopted as special assess- ments against the lands -named in said assessment rolls and there be hereby levied against each of the respective tracts and parcels of land described therein the assessments in the respective amounts therein set forth, and said respective tracts' and parcels of land are hereby found to be benefited by the respective improve- ments in a sum equal to the respective assessments hereby levied. The said assessments for curb and gutter construction, grading, and sidewalk construction shall be payable in equal annual installments extending over a period of three years; the said assessments for water main extensions, sanitary sewer extensions, and storm sewer shall be payable in equal annual installments extending over a period of tel years;. the first installment of all of said assessments shall be payable on the first Monday in January, 1956; interest shall be payable on said assessments at the rate - of 5% from the date of this resolution until December 31, 1955, and to each subsequent installment shall be added interest for one year.
