HomeMy WebLinkAbout105 - ADMIN Resolution - City Council - 1955/07/0553 Resolution No, 103 Adopted .Tule 5, 1955 On motion of Councilman Davis, seconded by Councilman Bolmgren, Resolu- tion No. 103 having been read by the Secretary, regarding construction of Sanitary Sewer for 36th and Wooddale, was adopted by unanimous vote of all Members of the Council present: RESOLUTION SETTING HEARING FOR SANITARY SEWER CONSTRUCTION RESOLVED, by the City Council that the Clerk be directed to publish notice of hearing, July 181; 1955, on sanitary sewer construction, Improvement No. 55-54, at the following locations: W. 36th St. from Wooddale Avenue to Webster Avenue Webster Avenue from W. 36th St. to St. Louis Avenue St. Louis Avenue from Webster Avenue to Yosemite Avenue. The estimated cost furnished by the Engineer, $49,462.50, is approved. The area to be assessed is the property abutting on the streets where the sewer is to be laid. Resolution No. 104 Adopted July 5, 1955 On motion of Council Bolmgren, seconded by Councilman Hurd, the following resolution, having been read by the Secretary, was adopted by unanimous vote of all Members of the Council present: RESOLUTION BE IT RESOLVED that the City of St. Louis Park enter into an agreement with the State of Minnesota, Department of Highways for the following purposes, to -wit: To provide for storm sewer construction by the City upon and along Trunk Highway No. 7 between Texas Avenue and the Minnehaha Creek channel, and for payment by the State to the City of part of the cost thereof. ,BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Manager be and they hereby are authorized to execute such agreement. Resolution No. 105 Adopted July 5, 1955 On motion of Councilman Perkins, seconded by Councilman Bolmgren, the following resolution, the reading of which was waived by unanimous consent,was adopted by unanimous vote of all Members of the Council present: RESOLUTION ORDERING CONDEMNATION PROCEEDINGS WHEREAS, the City Council on June 27, 1955, adopted its resolution No. 94 ordering the widening of west 36th Street from Zinran Avenue to Aquila Avenue, and WHEREAS, plans and specifications for said project have been prepared by the City Engineer and such plans provide for acquisition by the city of the land here- inafter described for said widening of West 36th Street, therefore BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of St. Louis Park that it is hereby determined that it is necessary that the City take the parcel of land here- inafter set forth in order to complete the said Improvement No. 55-48 and as a necessary incident to the improvement described in the resolution ordering said improvement: The tract of land above referred to, together with the names of the owners and persons interested therein, and the nature of the interest of each are as follows: 54 Resolution No. 105 - continued Adopted July 5, 1955 The South 30 feet of that part of the SW4 of the NW* of SE4 lying west of Oak Hill Manor 3rd Addition and East of a line parallel to and 30 feet west measured at right angles tb the west line of the EZ of the said SW4 of the NW4 of the SE4, Section 18, Township 117, Range 21. Resolution No. 106 Adopted .July 11, 1955 On motion of Councilman Middleton, seconded by Councilman Perkins, the following resolution; having been read by the Secretary, was adopted by uanimous vote of all Members of the Council present: RESOLUTION ORDERING ALLEY OPENING WHEREAS the City Council has met at the time and place specified in the notice published in the St. Louis Park Dispatch June 30 and July 7, 1955, re- lating to the public improvement hereinafter described and has heard all in- terested persons appearing at said meeting and has secured from the City Engineer a report advising it in a preliminary way as to whether each proposed improvement is feasible and as to whether it should best be made as proposed or in connection with some other improvement, and the estimated cost of the improvements as recommenced; therefore BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of St. Louis Park that the following public improvements be hereby ordered in accordance with plans and specifications which have been prepared by the City Engineer and filed with the City Clerk: IMPROVEMENT NUMBER LOCATION 55-51 Proposed opening of alley by acquisition of the rear or east 12 feet of Lots 16 to 30 inclusive, Block 3, Park Manor Addition. Resolution No. 107 Adopted July 11, 1955 On motion ing resolution of all Members of Councilman Hurd, seconded by Councilman Middleton, the follow - ,_having been read by the Secretary, was adopted by unanimous vote of the Council present: RESOLUTION ORDERING SANITARY SEWER CONSTRUCTION WHEREAS the City Council has met at the time and place specified in the notice published in the St. Louis Park Dispatch June 23 and 30, 1955, relating to the public improvements hereinafter described and has heard all interested persons appearing at said meeting and has secured from the City Engineer a re- port advising it in a preliminary way as to whether each proposed improvement is feasible and as to whether it should best be made as proposed or in connection with some other improvement, and the estimated cost of the improvements as re- commended; therefore, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council d'the City of St. Louis Park that the following public improvements be hereby ordered in accordance with plans and specifications which have been prepared by the City Engineer and filed with the City Clerk, and the City Manager is hereby directed to advertise for bids which will be opened by the City Manager, August 1, 1955 at 10 AM.
