HomeMy WebLinkAbout2087-97 - ADMIN Ordinance - City Council - 1997/03/171 ORDINANCE NO. 20879 7 AN ORDINANCE VACATING A PORTION OF THE UTILITY EASEMENT ON LOT 54, BLOCK 2, CEDAR KNOLL MANOR FOURTH ADDITION (1860 PARKER ROAD) THE CITY OF ST. LOUIS PARK DOES ORDAIN: Section 1, Due to the presence of a garage on a utility and drainage easement on Lot 54, Block 2, Cedar Knoll Manor Fourth Addition (1860 Parker Road - "Property"), there exists a property title defect. As a result, the City has been petitioned to vacate that portion of the utility easement the City does not consider necessary to protect the public's interest. Section 2. Said vacation petition has been duly filed with the City Clerk, and the City Council has conducted a public hearing upon said vacation petition and determined that the portion of the public utility easement described below is not needed for public purposes, and that it is in the best interest of the public that said public utility easement be vacated. Section 3. The public utility easement as now dedicated and laid out on the Property is reduced to the following: i All that part of Lot 54, Block 2, Cedar Knoll Manor 4th Addition described as follows to wit: The south ten (10) feet of Lot 54 except the north six (6) feet of the West twenty-three (23) feet thereof. Section 4. The City Clerk is instructed to record certified copies of this ordinance in the Office of the Hennepin County Register of Deeds or Registrar of Titles as the case may be. Section 5. This ordinance shall take effect fifteen days after its publication.
