AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO THE
ACQUISITION AND SALE OF REAL PROPERTY TO HABITAT
FOR HUMANITY, A NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION

THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ST. LOUIS PARK ORDAINS:
WHEREAS, Section 11.02 of the City Charter states that no real property of
the City be sold or disposed of except by ordinance; and
WHEREAS, the City is acquiring dile co the real property located at 3536
Texas Avenue and legally described as:
Lot 1 and the North 2 feet of the West 55 feet of Lot 2, Blocs 1,
DONNYBROOK TRACE SECOND ADDITION ("Subject
Property"),
pursuant to the Puuchase Agreement aaached hereto as Exhibit "A" ("HUD Purchase
Agreement") from the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development,
with proceeds from the HOME Grant Program. The Subject Property will be
transferred to Habitat for Humanity pursuant to the Purchase Agreement between the
City and Habitat for Humanity (attached hereto as Exhibit "B" ("Habitat Purchase
Agreement"); and
WHEREAS, the terms of the proposed purchase and subsequent sale of the
Subject Property are fair and reasonable; and
WHEREAS, maintaining ownership of the Subject Property would not serve the
public interest: and
WI -IE -REAS, the proposed sale of the Subject Property has no relation to the
City's Comprehensive Plan:

NOW, TI.EFORE, be it ordained by the City Council of the City of St.
Louis Park that:
1. The recitals set forth above are hereby incorporated into this Ordinance.
2. The City staff is hereby authorized to acquire and dispose of the Subject
Property pursuant to the HUD Purchase Agreement and Habitat Purchase
Agree..ment.
This ordinance shall be effective fifteen (15) days after publication.

that no real property of the City be sold or disposed of ex-
cept by ordinance, and
WHEREAS, the City is acquiring title to the real prop-
erty located at 3536 Texas Avenue and legally descnbed as
Lot 1 and the North 2 feet of the West 55 feet of
Lot 2, Block 1, DONNYBROOK TERRACE SEC-
OND ADDITION ("Subject Property"),
pursuant to the Purchase Agreement attached hereto as
Exhibit "A" ("HUD Purchase Agreement") from the Unit-
ed States Department of Housing and Urban Develop-
