HomeMy WebLinkAbout93-1926 - ADMIN Ordinance - City Council - 1993/09/13f ORDINANCE NO.93-1926-; AN ORDINANCE VACATING PUBLIC STREETS AND ALLEYS PORTIONS OF DAKOTA AVENUE, COLORADO AVENUE, BRUNSWICK AVENUE WEST 36TH STREET, CENTRAL AVENUE, HIGHWAY 7, MOUND STREET AND VARIOUS ALLEYS LOCATED IN CLOSE PROXIMITY THERETO THE CITY OF ST. LOUIS PARK DOES ORDAIN: Section 1. The St. Louis Park Planning Commission, by motion, initiated the vacation of certain streets and alleys. The City Manager has caused a public hearing notice on the initiated vacation to be published in the St. Louis Park Sailor. The St. Louis Park City Council has conducted a public hearing upon said vacation and has determined that the public streets and alleys are not needed for public purposes, and that it is in the best interest of the public that said public streets and alleys be vacated. Section 2. The public streets and alleys described on attached EXHIBIT A, as now dedicated, deeded or conveyed and laid out within the corporate limits of the City of St. Louis Park, are vacated, reserving, however, easements as specified on attached EXHIBIT A. Section 3. The City Clerk is instructed to record certified copies of this ordinance in the Office of the Hennepin County Register of Deeds or Registrar of Titles as the case may be. Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect fifteen days after its publication. (9 3D -et 3) Adopted by the C. y Council September 13, 1993 Uri Ma r Reviewed for administration: 93-31-VAC:RES7 c 9/.2 3 q 3 , Approved as to form and execution: at,l1 PCt.GQ� City ty ,4 6. -04 9 -aa -13 r p EXHIBIT A All streets, avenues, alleys and highways including but not limited to those streets, avenues and highways now known as West 36th Street, Mound Street, Central Avenue, Dakota Avenue, Colorado Avenue, Brunswick Avenue and State Highway No. 7, all situate in Hennepin County, Minnesota and contained within the following described land: Beginning at the intersection of the northerly line of Registered Land Survey No. 297 on file or of record in the Office of the Registrar of Titles, said Hennepin County and a line herein after described as "Line D"; thence easterly along said northerly line and its easterly extension a distance of 123.42 feet to the center line of said Brunswick Avenue; thence southerly along said center line a distance of 136.63 feet to the northwesterly line of the railroad right-of-way shown as the Chicago, Milwaukee and Saint Paul Railway and the Minneapolis and Saint Louis Railway on said plats; thence southwesterly along said northwesterly right-of-way line a distance of 1124.90 feet; thence northwesterly a distance of 326.56 feet to the southwest corner of Lot 17, Block 39, Rearrangement of St. Louis Park, according to the recorded plat thereof, said Hennepin County; thence continuing northwesterly on the extension of the last described line a distance of 136.54 feet to the west line of said Mound Street; thence northerly along said west line and it's northerly extension a distance of 8.98 feet to said "Line D"; thence easterly along said "Line D" a distance of 1122.80 feet to said point of beginning. Subject to easements reserved for utility purposes over, under and across West 36th Street, Brunswick Avenue and that part of the above described land lying northerly of a line parallel with and 10.00 feet southerly of said "Line D".
