AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ST. LOUIS PARK
ORDINANCE CODE RELATED TO INSURANCE REQUIREMENTS
FOR PARKING RAMP INSPECTORS
BY AMENDING SECTION 13-119
AND DELETING SECTION 13-1710
THE CITY OF ST LOUIS PARK DOES ORDAIN:
Section 1. Section 13-119 is amended and Sections 13-1710 is deleted.to read:
Section 13-119. Insurance and Bonds Required.
Insurance: Applicants for the licenses or permits listed in this
section shall maintain in effect general liability insurance (as
indicated on the following page) provided by an insurance carrier
authorized to do business in Minnesota, of at least $100,000 per person
bodily injury and $300,000 per accident bodily injury and $50,000
property damage, or a single -limit policy must maintain $300,000
liability coverage. [See Nos. 1 and 2 below for exceptions.] The
applicant shall deliver to the City Clerk a certificate of such
insurance, and said policy shall provide that it may not be cancelled by
the insurer except upon 30 days' prior written notice to the City Clerk, _
and if such insurance is terminated or not renewed with another policy
conforming to the requirements of this section, the license shall be
automatically suspended until the insurance has been replaced and a new
certificate of insurance filed with the City Clerk.

(1) Private Housing Inspector. A single -limit policy of $250,000 for
private housing inspectors shall satisfy the requirements of this
section. General liability insurance covering private housing
inspectors shall also include contractural insurance covering the
hold -harmless and indemnity clause set forth in Section 13-241.
If a private housing inspector has secured housing inspector's
professional liability insurance under a "claims made" policy
form, the housing inspector shall be required to continue to
maintain housing inspector's professional liability insurance for
a minimum of three years after termination of the license. Said
insurance shall also name the City an additional insured.
(2) Parking Ramps. Coverages required by ramp owners/operators shall
be as designated on the following page and in Section 13-1711.
Section 13-1710. "Reserved for future amendment."

Section 2. Severability. If any portion of this ordinance is found to be
invalid for any reason whatsoever, the validity of the remainder
shall not be affected.
Section 3. Effective Date. This ordinance shall take effect 15 days after
its publication.
