ORDINANCE NO. 93-1910
AN ORDINANCE VACATING PUBLIC STREET
PORTION OF WEST 28TH STREET APPROXIMATELY
65 FEET EAST OF STATE HIGHWAY 169
THE CITY OF ST. LOUIS PARK DOES ORDAIN:
Section 1. A petition in writing signed by a majority of all of the owners of all property
abutting upon both sides of the public street proposed to be vacated has been duly filed with
the City Clerk, requesting vacation of the public street. and the City Clerk has furnished a
copy of said petition to the City Manager who has caused a public hearing notice on the
requested vacation to be published in the St. Louis Park Sailor, on January 20, 1993. The St.
Louis Park City Council has conducted a public hearing upon said petition and has
determined that the public street is not needed for public purposes, and that it is for the
best interest of the public that said public street be vacated.
Section 2. The following legally described public street, as now dedicated and laid out
within the corporate limits of the City of St. Louis Park. is vacated:
That part of the Southwest Quarter of the Southwest Quarter of Section 7,
Township 117 North, Range 21 West of the 5th Principal Meridian described as
follows:
Commencing at the point of intersection of the north line of said
Southwest Quarter of the Southwest Quarter with a line drawn 75.00 feet
easterly of, measured at a right angle to and parallel with the west
line of said Southwest Quarter of the Southwest Quarter; thence on an
assumed bearing of South, along said parallel line, a distance of 702.65
feet; thence South 87 degrees 16 minutes 00 seconds East a distance of
149.56 feet, to the point of beginning of the land to be described;
thence North 87 degrees 16 minutes 00 seconds West a distance of 85.07
feet; thence South 67 degrees 42 minutes 30 seconds East a distance of
160.33, feet to the intersection with a line bearing South 48 degrees 09
minutes 00 seconds East from the point of beginning; thence North 48
degrees 09 minutes 00 seconds West a distance of 85.07 feet, to the
point of beginning.
Area - 2,283 square feet or 0.0524 acres.

reserving, however, a utility easement for any and all publicly or privately owned public
utilities including but not limited to water, sewer. storm sewer, drainage, electric,
telephone, telegraph, and gas, m and over the entire vacated street.
The above -referenced vacated street is intended to revert to. and be made a part of attached
Exhibit B.

Section 3. The City Clerk is instructed to record a certified copy of this ordinance in
the Office of the Hennepin County Register of Deeds or Registrar of Titles as the case may
be.
Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect fifteen days after its publication.
