ORDINANCE NO. 1832-90
AN ORDINANCE VACATING A PORTION OF WOODDALE AVENUE RIGHT OF WAY
3700 SOUTH HIGHWAY 100
THE CITY OF ST. LOUIS PARK DOES ORDAIN:
Section 1. A petition in writing signed by a majority of all of the owners of all property
abutting upon both sides of the portion of Wooddale Avenue right of way proposed to be
vacated has been duly filed with the City Clerk, requesting vacation of the portion of
Wooddale Avenue right of way, and the City Clerk has furnished a copy of said petition to
the City Manager who has reported filing of same to the newspaper, the St. Louis Park
Sailor, on March 7, 1990, as directed by the said notice and has conducted a public hearing
upon said petition and has determined that the portion of Wooddale Avenue right of way is
not needed for public purposes, and that it is for the best interest of the public that said
portion of Wooddale Avenue right of way be vacated.
Section 2. The following described portion of Wooddale Avenue right of way as now
dedicated and laid out within the corporate limits of the City of St. Louis Park, is vacated:
Beginning at a point in the nortkeasterly line of Wooddale Avenue (formerly
Pleasant Avenue in Collins' Second Addition to St. Louis Park) said point
being distant 28.81 feet southeasterly of the northwest corner of Block 8,
Collins' Second Addition to St. Louis Park, all according to the recorded plat
thereof; thence South 39 degrees 16 minutes 01 seconds east, along said
northeasterly line, assumed basis for bearings, 304.94 feet; thence South 28
degrees 31 minutes 26 seconds East, along said northeasterly line, 142.73 feet;
thence northwesterly 150.18 felt along a non-tangential curve concave to the
northeast, having a radius of 314.25 feet, a central angle of 27 degrees 22
minutes 56 seconds and a chord that bears North 43 degrees 09 minutes 47
seconds West; thence North 29 degrees 28 minutes 20 seconds West, tangent
to the last described curve, 129.87 feet; thence northwesterly 169.60 feet
along a tangential curve concave to the southwest, having a radius of 987.93
feet and a central angle of 9 degrees 50 minutes 09, seconds; thence North 50
degrees 41 minutes 31 seconds West, on a line radial to the last described
curve, 0.22 feet to the point of beginning,
reserving, however, to the City of St. Louis Park all drainage and utility easements as
currently exist within the area to be vacated.
Section 3. The City Clerk is instructed to record certified copies of this ordinance in
the Office of the Hennepin County Register of Deeds or Registrar of Titles as the case may
be.
Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect fifteen days after its publication.
