HomeMy WebLinkAbout1812-89 - ADMIN Ordinance - City Council - 1989/12/04ORDINANCE NO. 1812-89 AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING SALE BY THE CITY OF PROPERTY AT THE SOUTHEAST CORNER OF T.H. 12 AND VERNON AVENUE TO THE STATE OF MINNESOTA (MINNESOTA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION) THE CITY OF ST. LOUIS PARK DOES ORDAIN: Section 1. That the Property located at the southeast corner of T.H. 12 and Vernon Avenue, legally described as: That part of Tract A, Registered Land Survey No. 1484, Files of Registrar of Titles, County of Hennepin, Minnesota, lying southerly of the following described line: Commencing at the most southerly corner of said Tract A; thence run northerly on a bearing of North 00 degrees 28 minutes 56 seconds West along the west line of said Tract A for 188.71 feet to the point of beginning of the line to be described: thence North 45 degrees 47 minutes 14 seconds East, 134.41 feet; thence deflect to the right on a tangential curve having a radius of 175 feet and a delta angle of 11 degrees 58 minutes 37 seconds for 36.58 feet to a point on the easterly line of said Tract A and there terminating; the title thereto being registered as evidenced by Certificate of Title No. 577710 is no longer needed for public use originally intended and that the State of Minnesota (Minnesota Department of Transportation) has agreed to pay the City of St. Louis Park the amount of $200,000 for the property. Section 2. The St. Louis Park City Council hereby directs and authorizes the Mayor and City Manager to execute any and all instruments necessary to complete the sale of the above legally, described Property, subject to retention of necessary easements for utility and drainage purposes and an access easement satisfactory to the City granted in perpetuity to the benefit of Tract C, R.L.S. No. 1484 to provide access from existing parking/driving areas of said Tract C to adjacent public roadway systems. Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect fifteen days after its. publication.
